Replacement Drop Axle for Old Horse Trailer with 6 on 5-1/2 Inch Bolt Pattern
Question:
Thanks Connor. The current axle has no spring pads attached, its simply a 1.75" square axle with 4" drop that's bolted to the springs with u-bolts I think you can see in the picture. The distance between the spring centers is 55". The distance between the two hub faces is about 79 3/8" the best I could measure. The distance between the back of the 90 degree uprights on the axle is 61 7/8". Please let me know if these measurements will allow you to specify an axle that will work.

I would love to help but we do not have any trailer hubs that correspond to the dimensions that you provided. Therefore, the only option we can offer you would be to replace the axle all together. In order to offer a replacement for this we would need to know your spring center and hub face measurements (see photo). If you can provide me with these I can then see if we have an axle suitable for your trailer.
For example, the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with 4" Drop E-Z Lube Spindle part # 7685269 has a 3,500 lb capacity with an 80" spring center and 95" hub face measurement. It can then be used with the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # 84655UC1-EZ.
