Best Trailer Hitch for 2018 Ford Escape
Question:
I am looking for a hitch for my 2018 Ford Escape. I would really like something that is hidden and not obvious because I like the look of the rear of my car. Is there anything like that which still has decent capacity for towing and using different types of accessories?

The best trailer hitch for your 2018 Ford Escape is the Draw-Tite # 75782 because it has a concealed crosstube to maintain the clean look of your Escape and has the highest tongue weight capacity among trailer hitches that fit your car.
This Class III, 2" trailer hitch is almost entirely hidden behind your bumper, as you can see by the accompanying photos of the hitch installed on a 2018 Ford Escape. Additionally, you will still be able to use your Escape's hands-free liftgate feature with this hitch installed.
The hitch has a 525 lb tongue weight capacity, which is nearly 200 lbs higher than any other hitch that fits your car, and a 3,500 lb towing capacity so it will be be perfect to carry any type of accessory or tow a lightweight trailer. Keep in mind you will want to check your owner's manual to check the towing capacity of your vehicle.
I have added a link to a video of the Draw-Tite # 75782 hitch being installed on an '18 Escape for you to check out as well.
Since you mentioned towing, if you need wiring which will give you a 4-way connector and allow you to power your trailer's lights I recommend 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56320 because of how easy it is to install. This harness only requires you to plug in the T-connectors behind the tail lights of your Escape and run a hot lead to your battery. I have added a link to a video of this harness being installed on a 2018 Ford Escape for you to take a look at so you can see how easy it is.
I also recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which is for 2” hitches and may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip.
You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise. I've also attached a link to our page with each of our ball mounts for you to check out.
