Will Edge Gas Evolution CS2 Performance Tuner Improve Gas Mileage on 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
2012 Chevy 2500HD 6.0 Crew Cab - I dont like the overall performance of the vehicle, the way it dont downshift when it needs to, the way it shifts too fast going up through the gears, etc. Its like the truck is in granny mode and gas milage is horrible. 13 if Im lucky on highway without a load. Looking to change the overall performance and definitely wanting more gas mileage. Approx- what kind of gas mileage gain could I expext? Can you change from performance to economy on the fly or do you have to go through the tuning process? I had a Bullydog GT Gas and didnt see a lot in performance or mileage but I believe it was faulty, had issues from the start and after 18 months of trying multiple updates and everything, it eventually crashed an engineers couldnt figure it out so they refunded my money.

There are many variables for improving your gas mileage with the Edge Gas Evolution CS2 Performance Tuner # EP85350 but an improvement of a couple miles per gallon is realistic with your 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.
Putting the tuner in the Economy setting and closely following the Mileage Coach will allow you to see the most gains.
As for changing tunes with the Edge Gas Evolution CS2 # EP85350 you do need to be parked and not moving in order to go from Performance to Economy. Just keep in mind that using the Performance setting will not enhance your fuel economy because those power gains will consume more fuel.
