How to Carry a Mobility Scooter on a 2004 Ford Mustang

Looking for a way to carry a mobility scooter. Hoping that I can find a hitch and carrier that will work on mustang.

The trailer hitch receiver we have for a 2004 Ford Mustang is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11041 which is a fit as long as your Mustang is a V6. The Curt hitch has a 200 lb tongue weight and 2,000 lb gross trailer weight rating. However, you will need to look in the owner's manual of the vehicle as the vehicle's rating could and will likely be lower than the hitch. The lower of the two ratings hitch/vehicle is the one you will need to go by.

Then for a cargo carrier, the best option we have for you is the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18145 which has internal dimension of 46-3/8" long x 17-9/16" wide x 5-1/2" deep. It has a class I rating which is what you need for your trailer hitch and it is fairly lightweight at around 29 lbs.
