For your 2017 Specialized Shiv I would recommend going with a platform bike rack that only touches the bike at the tires so as to protect what appears to be a delicate frame material and paint job on the bike.
I really like the Saris SuperClamp EX part # SA4025F. This is a lightweight platform rack (which is normally an unheard of combo). That means it'll be easy to install and remove from your vehicle since it's light, but also it'll be very easy to load bikes on since it's a platform rack. It also can fit either a 2 inch or 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch. Check out the review video I attached for more info as well.
