Shank Recommendation for Draw Tite Weight Distribution System on 2014 Nash 25C Travel Trailer
Question:
I currently own a 2014 Nash 25C travel trailer. I am going to couple this trailer to a 2012 Tundra Crewmax 4x4. The level tongue height of my trailer is 29 inches, the max level height I can get with my current Draw-tite weight distribution hitch is 27 inches standard 9 inch shank. Its my understanding that you want at least an inch and half higher than the level trailer hitch height prior to hookup. I am considering using a Fastway e2 12.5 inch shank and adapt it to my draw-tite wdh and adding a ball with a 2 inch rise. Will the e2 shank adapt to my current wdh. I can also go with the fastway e2 sway control and 12 inch rise e2 shank and also add a 2 inch rise ball. That will give me a little flexibility. Can you see any issues with my plans and do you know of any issues with the taller hitch height working with an e2 wdh/sway control. Or any issues with wdh and a 2 inch rising ball? Any help/suggestions are appreciated.

A Fastway weight distribution shank like the part # FA92-02-4315 you mentioned is compatible with a Draw Tite weight distribution system as they are all made to be interchangeable with each other. Based on the dimensions you mentioned this should work well for you. The max drop this can do is 9-3/4 inches and had incremental adjustments that can be made at 1-1/4 inches.
