Is thread sealant or pipe dope needed for this supply hose?

Expert Reply:
The Camco Propane Supply Hose - ACME Nut x Male Inverted Flare # CAM59053 does not need any putty or tape and using anything could actually cause an issue with the seal. The Acme nut has the seal required and flare fittings do not use tape or thread putty like a pipe thread fitting requires.
