Trailer Hitch Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2015 Toyota Camry with Backup Camera
Question:
I just got a new vehicle, and I was wondering on which is the best hitch bike rack for road, and mountain bikes. My main concern is the rear view camera that is on my vehicle. I already installed a 1 1/4 hitch on my vehicle. I would like a bike rack for two bikes, and easy removable if possible.

For your 2015 Toyota Camry I recommend the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style for 1-1/4" and 2" Trailer Hitches # S64650. Then to secure the rack to your vehicle rack lock # S64029 and bike cable lock # e98891 to secure your bikes to the rack. The camera will likely be obstructed by the bikes but you will want to consider the rack style as well.
For 4 bikes you would need a hanging style rack because 4 bike platform racks are not made for 1-1/4 inch hitches. A popular option is the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR. Unlike platform style racks you may need an adapter bar for certain bikes. If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
Regarding the backup camera with any of these bike racks loaded the view is going to be blocked. With no bikes loaded the VeeMe is going to be the least obtrusive to the camera's view.
