This stabilizer decreases bike rack, cargo carrier and ballmount movement within 1-1/4" receiver tubes. The accessory shank slides through the square sleeve on the hitch stabilizer and then into the trailer hitch. Turning the knob on the stabilizer when situated over the trailer hitch takes the slack out of the connection to eliminate rattling and ensure a more quiet ride.
