  • Thule Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2013 Subaru Outback
  • For your 2013 Subaru Outback wagon you would want the Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack # TH7502-TH7502. This rack has been confirmed to fit the rails of your vehicle and should work very well for you. The Thule Complete Crossroad Kit # TH45058 you referenced has not been confirmed to fit your vehicle so I would not recommend it for you.

You need to have 48 inch long crossbars (or longer but 48 inches is the recommended length), # Y00408. If the bars you have are shorter then you will need new bars. • While I am not certain how much additional clearance you will need to fully open the hatch on your 2011 Subaru Outback, I can tell you that the Thule Atlantis 1800, # TH687BXT, is 6-1/2 inches shorter than the 2100. So, the rear hatch should be able to open that much further. The next step down, the 1600, # TH686XT, is 18-1/2 inches shorter. If your factory crossbars are adjustable forward, that could offer some additional clearance, but an adapter is not available for this application. For a

If you wanted to carry larger items, like tents, fishing poles, or coolers, you may want to look into a roof basket, like the Rola Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part # 59504. • The more important measurement to be concerned with is the cross bar spread, not the overall size in this case. The Yakima Basket Case can be mounted long ways or side ways for lack of a better term. Which direction used is based on the spread of the cross bars. In order to attach the clamps to the basket and cross bars, there needs to be a spread of 12 to 40 inches between the bars. Check your Outback and see if the cross bars are in this window or can be adjusted to this window. I have a
