Honda Ridgeline Roof Rack Questions and Answers

  • Does a Rhino-Rack Roof Rack Using Factory Mounting Points on a 2013 Honda Ridgeline
  • Rhino-Rack Leg Kit, # RRRLKVA, mounts to the roof of your 2013 Honda Ridgeline using fit kit # DK155 which are clamps so it will not use the factory mounting points. The correct bars for this application are # RRVA150S-2. All of the roof racks install the same way on your Ridgeline.

  • Will the Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier Fit the Thule AeroBlade Roof Rack on a Honda Ridgeline
  • Congratulations on the new Ridgeline. My neighbor bought one last year and loves it. The Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier, # TH834, will fit the Thule AeroBlade crossbars on your new Honda Ridgeline. I have attached a demonstration video for the Hull-A-Port on the AeroBlade roof rack on a GMC Sierra for you to check out. Based on your vehicle information, it looks like you have a 2011 Honda Ridgeline. For the complete AeroBlade roof rack, you will want the following parts. 60 Inch...

  • Roof Rack Solution for Transporting Long Lumber on 2009 Honda Ridgeline
  • The Rhino-Rack roof rack that you referenced, the Vortex Aero system for naked roofs consisting of parts # RRVA150S-2, # RRRLKVA and # DK155, is an excellent (and quiet) roof rack system for your 2009 Honda Ridgeline. All the racks for your truck will have a crossbar spread of 29-1/2-inches centered on your roof and all can be seen on the link provided. For transporting lumber loads as long as 16-feet I suggest you use a roof rack combined with a hitch-mounted load support such as the...

  • Thule AeroBlade Roof Rack for a 2009 Honda Ridgeline
  • I think you are referring to the fit kit. The correct fit kit for a 2009 Honda Ridgeline is # THKIT1510. These are what secure the Rapid Traverse feet, # TH480R, to the roof of the vehicle. Also, the bars you got, # THARB53, are not long enough. The correct bars are 60 inches long, # THARB60. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation for you.

  • Roof Rack Recommendation for 2006 Honda Ridgeline
  • We carry aftermarket roof racks that have been confirmed to fit your 2006 Honda Ridgeline that would work very well for you. But we do not carry the Honda OEM roof rack for your vehicle. If you have a naked roof the Rhino Rack roof rack part numbers # RRVA150B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK155 would be a great choice. If instead you have raised side rails on the roof of your vehicle you would want the Yakima rack that consists of part numbers # Y00408 and # Y00138.

  • Are Roof Rack Capacities Listed Per Bar or for Both Crossbars Together
  • The weight ratings for the roof racks we carry are for both crossbars. The part # RRRS454B is rated for 165 lbs when both bars are used and the load is evenly distributed. It would be reasonable to say that each bar has half the capacity of 165 lbs. You will also need to check the owners manual of your vehicle to determine what the roof capacity is for the vehicle and then be sure to abide by the lower of the two figures as the overall capacity.

Each roof rack integrates together and aren't universal fits. They are custom for each vehicle.

  • Will the SportRack Upshift Deluxe Roof Bike Rack Fit a 2013 Honda Ridgeline
  • If your 2013 Honda Ridgeline has the factory roof rack with the crossbars that run side to side then the SportRack Upshift # SR4612 will fit. It is designed to fit on crossbars that are up to 3-1/2 inches wide. I have linked a video review of this bike rack for you. If your Ridgeline has the side rails that run front to back only then you would need to add crossbars to be able to mount the bike rack. Honda Ridgeline Watersport Carriers Questions and Answers

  • Need Roof Rack and Water Sports Carriers for Paddle Board and Kayak on 2012 Honda Ridgeline
  • A first step in finding a roof rack and appropriate watercraft carriers for your 2012 Honda Ridgeline Sport is a check of your owners manual (or inquiry to your local dealership) to confirm how much weight the roof can safely handle. I did check an online version of the manual for the 2012 Ridgeline but I was not able to find a roof weight capacity rating. The vehicle roof needs to be able to handle the total combined weight of a roof rack, the water sport carriers you choose, plus the...

  • The Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier, part # DTA944-968-924 has foam blocks that support the crossbar and use a strap that runs through the interior of the truck cab. This system has a 350-lb weight capacity but you will need to make sure you do not exceed the roof weight capacity on your Ridgeline. The crossbar for the roof included with this system can be extended from 45 to 60 inches wide, and the crossbar on the extension is 48 inches wide. That may pose a problem with 2 kayaks...

  • Which Roof Rack for 2009 Honda Ridgeline for Use with Kayak Carrier
  • Aftermarket roof racks are often less costly than OEM versions, and sticking with one brand for both the rack and the mounted accessories often helps ensure compatibility. For a Ridgeline with factory roof rack you could use part # TH887XT, the Thule Slipstream XT Roof Mounted Kayak Carrier. For a 2009 Ridgeline with a naked roof I can suggest the Thule rack consisting of three parts: # THLB58, # TH480, and # THKIT1510. These parts are a set of two 58-inch square steel load bars, a...

No sense paying for two crossbars when you need only one. But I have an even better option for you that will save you even more money!
