What our customers are saying:

I think you folks are awesome. First your website is easy to navigate and your inventory and range of products are incredible, to say nothing about your very competitive prices. Within just a few hours of placing my order I received two emails from you. The first acknowledged my order and advised the item was in stock and would be shipped soon. The second email, a short time later, advised me that my order had shipped and provided me tracking information. It can't get any better than that.

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Honda Element

Today on this 2007 Honda Element we are going to install part number 118465 from Tow Ready. This is a T-One wiring harness and what this harness basically does is fill in the missing parts of the factory tow package. First thing we are going to do is find the port underneath the dash where part of the harness plugs into. It is a two piece kit. One piece gos in the front of the vehicle with the modulite box itself and the other half plugs into the back of the vehicle.

Honda Element Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Questions and Answers

  • Purpose of White Wire on Curt T-Connector # C56029 for 2011 Honda Element
  • The white wire with the ring terminal (see photo I edited for you) is indeed a ground wire. It would connect to a factory grounding point under the dash, if available. Otherwise, you can use the included self-tapping screw to attach it to a nearby metal portion of the vehicle body. Before driving the screw in, be sure the area behind it is clear of any wiring that could be damaged.

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for 2006 Honda Element
  • For your 2006 Element, you will need to use a hardwired converter, like part # 119175KIT. The converter will tap into the factory wiring harnesses feeding your taillight assemblies. The best place to tap the wiring in would be directly behind the tail light assemblies. You would use the circuit tester included with the kit to probe the wires feeding each taillight assembly to determine which wire carries which circuit. Activate the left turn signal, and then probe the wires feeding the left

  • Parts needed to Flat Tow a 2003 Honda Element with a Blue Ox Aladdin Tow Bar
  • For a 2003 Honda Element you can use base plates # BX2230 with your Aladdin tow bar. I did find that specific flat towing restrictions apply to your vehicle. They may include specific towing speeds and distances, and/or lubricating the transmission and transfer case with the engine idling, then running selector through the gears. Other restrictions may also apply. Confirm the towability and pre-towing procedures of your vehicle with the owners manual or contact the vehicle manufacturer for speci

  • Is there a Fuse that Needs to be Installed on a 2004 Honda Element for Wiring Harness
  • There should be a 7.5 amp fuse that will need to be installed in the fuse box when you install the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118336. You will need to check with your local regulations and laws to determine if you need to have side clearance lights on your trailer before you remove them. Another option to reduce the amperage draw on your trailer would be to convert the lights on the trailer to LEDs as they draw considerably less than incandescent bulbs. Check out the link I provided th

  • How to Install a Hopkins Trailer Connector on a 2003 Honda Element
  • Check out page 5 of the instructions I attached for the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 118336. This is a different brand connector but it does the same thing as the Hopkins Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 43105 and installs the same way so the instructions will work for you as well. The instructions I attached show you exactly where the panels are that need to be removed and how to remove them.

  • How to Route Trailer Wiring After Making the Connections on a 2004 Honda Element
  • You are correct, the instructions, linked for reference, do not specify how you would run the 4-Way from the connection point on your 2004 Honda Element to he out side of the vehicle. There are a couple of ways you can do this. First, you can stow the 4-Way in the vehicle and then when needed, pull it out of the back door/hatch. You can close the hatch on the wiring as long as it is not pinched in a locking or hinging mechanism. The weather stripping on the rear door will prevent the wiring

  • Connector Location for the Converter Box on a 2008 Honda Element for T-One Trailer Harness 118465
  • You may have found the wrong connector. It may be difficult to see, but under the access panel, look all the way to the left driver side wall. You will see a gray connector there, but again it may be difficult to see. We also have a video of a 2007 Element that makes note of the location, but even with our video, it is difficult to see because of the location of the connector. I have added a link to the video below.

  • Running Trailer Wiring Connector for the 2010 Honda Element to the Outside of the Vehicle
  • Yes, you can run the vehicle side trailer connector to the outside of the vehicle if there is a grommet available in the back of the spare tire well. Just make a small slit in the grommet and run the smallest end of the harness through the hole. If you decide to do so you may want to install a mounting bracket to keep the 4-Way connector from dangling behind the vehicle. I would recommend the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat, item # 18144, along with the No-Drill Mount Bracket, Short, item # 1814

  • Which Trailer Wiring Harness Fits a 2004 Honda Element
  • You could use either the Hopkins harness you were looking at, part # 43105, or you could use the Tow Ready part # 118336. They are comparable parts that install the same way. I have included a link to the Tow Ready part instructions that are very good. See page 5 of the instructions for the Element. Either of these should function fine on your 2004 Element The 6 pin factory Honda connector has the necessary circuits to properly power a 4-Way trailer connector. It is possible that the 2 pin fa

  • Where is the Connector for the Custom Fit Wiring Harness on the 2003 Honda Element
  • You will need to remove the spring loaded hinged cover and the passengers side trim panel to access the wiring in the rear of the vehicle. The instructions (see link) have pictures to show exactly where the connector should be. Page 5 shows the instructions for the 2003-2004 Honda Element.

  • How Do I Wire My 2008 Honda Element for Trailer Lights and Why is There a Converter Under The Dash
  • Your 2008 Honda element is set up differently than most vehicles and has a 10 pin connector under the dash to connect the converter to. This connection is essentially a loop circuit that powers the vehicles tow package wiring to the rear spare tire compartment. The converter that is attached to the under dash 10 pin connector is there to protect the vehicles wiring and convert the 5-wire system on the Honda to a 4-wire trailer lighting system. Once you have the part connected under the dash y

  • Will T-One Wiring Harness 118465 Fit a 2005 Honda Element
  • I am sorry, but the T-One Wiring Harness, part # 118465 will not fit a 2005 Honda Element. It will only fit a 2007-2010 Honda Element. You will need to hard wire your 2005. We recommend the hard wiring kit, part # 119175KIT, because it provides all the parts you will need to complete the hard wiring installation yourself.
