Today on our 2006 Dodge Ram pickup, we'll be installing the CIPA custom towing mirrors, part number CM10700. We're already gone ahead and installed the driver's side here. Let's go over a few of the features of the CIPA custom towing mirror. Here on the front side we can just see the wedge that goes underneath and the hand knob that secure the custom towing mirror to the manufacturer's mirror. As you can see, it's really secured so it'll help prevent it from shifting, moving around or even vibrating at highway speeds. Here we have the manual mirror that will go up, down, in or out as necessary to view our towing products. Both top and bottom of the mirror are the groves that will catch the mirror to help hold it in place but still allow for the manufacturer's mirror to move and be seen as necessary. Now provided in our box is going to be the mirror, wedge and hand knob we pointed out earlier.
Today on our 2014 Dodge Ram Pickup 2500 series, we'll be doing a test fit of the CIPA custom towing mirror in the slip-on design for the passenger side, part number CM11402. Now let's begin by going over a couple of things here on our passenger side. The mirror comes with two different wedge pieces; one that's thicker than the other, the thicker one is used on the standard mirrors on the vehicle. The thinner one is used if you have a chrome or cap style mirror. Now our particular vehicle has the standard black mirrors, so we'll be using the thicker one. Now that you've chosen the proper wedge for your particular mirror we'll need to install this neoprene strip. It is a self-adhesive and you'll simply peel the backing off and attach it to the wedge, just like this. Since we are just doing a test fit today, we're not actually going to adhere the neoprene strip to our particular wedge.

With the towing mirrors installed, you have a much great field of vision, behind your tow vehicle, as you're going down the road. Your factory mirror will still retain full range of motion with the towing mirrors installed. You'll notice here we have a plastic wedge. You can see here how there's already a piece of soft material, already attached to it.
