Thule XB16 Snow Tire Chains Review - 2013 Dodge Durango

Today, on our 2013 Dodge Durango, on tire size P265/60 R18, we'll be test fitting the Thule standard snow tire chains for SUVs, commercial vehicles, and motor homes, part number TH01571265. To begin our test fit, we'll lay the chains out on the floor and make sure we get out any kinks or knots within the chains. We'll then take our chains and slide them behind the tire, working from the back toward the front of the vehicle. We can then grab the two blue ends of the cable and bring them up to the 12:00 position on our tire where we'll connect them together. We can then allow the cable to fall behind the tire where we'll make sure our chains drape over the tire, centering them with the tire tread. Here on the outside of the tire, we'll take the red chain link and the red hook and connect them together. We'll then continue allowing our chains to drape over the tire, making sure they stay centered, where we'll work into the 6:00 position here on the outside of the tire. Now, down here, we'll take the grey chain and hook it through the chain tension holding device. We can then pull it tight.
