Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1994 Chevrolet Lumina

Today we're working on a 1994 Chevy Lumina. We're going to install the Draw-Tite four-pole connector, part number 18252. Our first step is going to be to remove the rear threshold of the vehicle. We've got a total of four fasteners. We've got two screw fasteners on each side and two pushpin fasteners. The pushpin fasteners are easiest to just unscrew for the flat bladed screw driver.
Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1996 Chevrolet Lumina

Today on this 1996 Chevrolet Lumina we are going to install part number 18252 kit. What we have to do is hard wire it on to the existing harness, it is not a plug in or anything like that. At least we can get to the wires pretty easily in the vehicle. Everything we need to get to is right behind this tail light. Undo the carpeting, get this knob out of our way first. Pull it back out of our way. This is the wire harness we can get at for everything we need. Peel the loom away. What we are going to do is turn on the running lights in the vehicle and find out what the functions are going to be. On our 4-pole wiring connector we need to find out what the running light circuit is. This brown wire is our running light circuit so brown to brown in this instance. Now work on the right turn signal. The right 4-pole harness is going to be green. Now we will do our left turn signal that is going to be yellow to yellow. 01:00
