Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the CURT custom fit class two trailer hitch receiver. This offers the 1-1/4" opening. Its part number is C12291. Here's what the CURT class two hitch looks like once it's installed on the Equinox. It's going to have a narrow tube going this way running across the car. Keeps it maybe about 1" right underneath this rear fascia, so doesn't hang down too far, doesn't give it a goofy look.

Today on our 2005 Chevy Equinox, we'll be installing the Curt Hitch, part number C12291. This is what our hitch will look like once it's installed. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist you selecting accessories for your new hitch, which is a ball mount, a bike rack or a cargo carrier. On the center of the H pin hole, to the outermost edge of the bumper is 3 and 3/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground, is 12 and a half inches. Now, let's go ahead with installation. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and point out the attachment points. We'll have a total of 6 attachment points and each one of these attachment points B-well nuts built into the frame be the manufacturer.

There are two locations on the up and down portion of the frame rail at the rear of the vehicle on each side.
