Today on our 2005 Chevy Cavalier, we will be installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part number 24613. Heres what the hitch looks like installed on your vehicle. Well go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you select a few accessories for your hitch such ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper is approximately 8 inches, and from the top of the hitch opening to the ground is approximately 10-1/2 inches. Now, were ready to go ahead and install our hitch. Well begin by removing the exhaust bracket that goes around the muffler.Next, we will move a little farther forward and locate the next exhaust hanger.
Trailer Hitch Installation - 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier - Draw-Tite
Today, on our 2001 Chevy Cavalier, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Hitch Part Number 24733.This is what our hitch to look like once it's installed. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 5-3/4 inches. From the top of the inside of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 11-3/4 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a bike rack or a cargo carrier. Now, let's go ahead with installation.

Today on our 2003 Chevy Cavalier, we'll be installing the Curt Hitch, part number 11109. This is what our hitch will look like once it's in position. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outer most edge of the bumper is 7 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 13 inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories such as a drawbar, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier.
Today, in this 2005 Chevy Cavalier were going to install part number 24733 from Draw-Tite. This is what our hitch looks like when its installed on the vehicle. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground measures 12-1/2 inches, and from the center of the hitch pinhole to outside edge of the bumper is 6-3/4 inches. This clamp around the exhaust here, which is bolted on either side that we have to remove and well spray it down with some lubricant to make it a little easier to undo.
