We've already gone ahead and pre-assembled our bike rack according to the guide found within the instructions. We'll go ahead and place our bike rack on top of our trunk. We'll take the two top straps and secure them to the top of the trunk.We can then move to the side and bottom straps, connect them to the trunk here on the side next to the taillight as well as on the bottom just above the rear bumper cover. With all six straps attached we can go ahead and tighten them down securing our bike rack to the vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and pull out the red levers on the inside of our bike carrier.This relieves the tension so that we can swing out our dual arms.

We'll place the top hooks at the top part of the trunk, the side hooks at the side part of the trunk and the bottom hooks at the bottom part of the trunk.We can go ahead and snug all these straps down. If you need to adjust the upper and lower arms of the carrier just untighten the levers on the side and then youre free to readjust. The levers on the side when loosened also will allow you to move your cradle arms for a better fit. With all our hooks in and tightened down now we're ready to go ahead and swing out our cradle arms.We want to make sure that the cradle arms are straight out or slightly at an incline.

We'll then turn the gray knobs on the left and right hand side of the carrier to tighten down the straps securing the carrier to the vehicle. We'll then flip out the gray lever at the center of the carrier to swing the cradle arms out.

We'll then tighten all the straps to secure the carrier to the vehicle. After securing the excess slack we're ready to load our bike.We'll go ahead and undo the cradle straps, set the bank onto the frame cradles and secure with the straps.

To begin our test fit we need to look in the instructions and to Thule's Fit Guide where we see that our FitDial needs to be set to eight. Once we have that set we'll go ahead and place our carrier on top of our trunk. We need to make sure that the lower arm of our carrier is positioned on the upper tier of the bumper.Then we need to place the top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the trunk. We'll place the lower clips in the bottom edge of the trunk and then we'll fit our side clips to the sides of the trunk. Once we have our clips in place and snugged down then we can go ahead and make our way around and secure each one until they're all tight.

SportRack Super EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Ford Fusion

Were going to undo the threshold and uninstall the interior panels. Were going to remove the threshold here by popping up the plastic rivets. One, two, three, four of them. Theres two more rivets underneath the floor mat that wed have to remove.

Now with our roof rack set up as indicated in the fit kit instructions, we're ready to fit it to the vehicle. We'll simply place the front crossbar on top of the roof and then we'll need to take a measurement. We'll measure from the top of the windshield back on our roof six inches. This will be the location of the leading edge of our crossbar tower. When installing your roof rack system, it's a good idea to have your doors open as the clamps clamp to the door opening.

Today we have a 2012 Ford Fusion and we'll be test fitting your Thule Roof Rack System. We'll be using the fit kit, part number THKIT1529, the 53 inch aero blade bars, part number THARB53, as well as the rapid traverse feet, part number TH480R. We already have our roof rack assembled according to the instructions, so we're ready to mount it up on top of the vehicle. To position the front bar, bolt up in the front passenger and driver side doors and lay the frontload bar up on top of our roof. To position it correctly, we'll measure eight inches from the edge of the windshield glass to the leading edge of our traverse foot. We'll make that measurement on both sides and once we've done that, we can go ahead and tighten and secure our frontload bar to the roof of the vehicle.

The WeatherTech FloorLiners are custom molded to precisely fit the vehicle and stay in place. As seen here, its customer molding to go around the seat post fit up underneath the front row seats. This is a one piece liner that goes all the way from the driver to the passenger side up over the center hub.
