Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Traverse

This is a proportional controller that works great for one up to four axles. Part number is 39510. We're also going to be using wiring kit ETVC7, and pigtail adapter, part number 3026-P. The voyager is a proportional system. What this means is that the controller is going to send braking force to our trailer in proportion to how our vehicle is breaking. The accelerometer that's located inside of the controller senses how quickly our vehicle is stopping and applies that power to the rear of the trailer to keep them in line with one another.

Thule Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2012 Chevrolet Traverse

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Traverse we're going to be test fitting the Thule Raceway Pro hatch or truck mounted bike rack, part number TH9001PRO. This keeps it from going back and forth and possibly hitting the other bike that you have installed on it. Let's go ahead and take this off. It's always a good idea to reattach your straps so they're not flapping around while you're driving or possibly losing them while you're driving. Now it's always good practice to reinstall your straps after you've taken them off, just so their not flapping around while you drive, and so you don't lose them while you drive. Once we identify the correct bracket, we'll go ahead and mark them with a yellow paint stick. The rear brackets for each side, although they'll mount the same, the configurations are slightly different. Starting with the driver's side forward bracket, to secure it to the vehicle, we'll be installing two T-bolts into the frame. Now with our lights mounted we'll need to take the wiring harness and start routing our wires. They will not be completely removed, as they are connected by a small plastic tether, which you'll need to lift them out of the way so you can remove the one screw that is in each hole. Once you have the screws removed and you pull the light assembly off the vehicle, you need to remove the wiring harness from the back of the light. • Replacement Tail Lights for a 2000 Jayco Kiwi Trailer
  • We do not have a replacement lens for the style of light that is on your Jayco trailer. I recommend replacing the lights with something more common such as # 271594 and # 271595 which are LED, wrap around style tail lights. Or for something more traditional in an incandescent light I recommend # 403026 and # 403076. I have linked some review videos for you.

  • Recommendation for Carrying Bikes and Towing a Boat at the Same Time with a 2012 Chevy Traverse
  • I do not recommend using an extender because doing so will cut the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent. A longer dual purpose ball mount is not available. What I recommend is a different type of bike rack. You could use a towing bike rack like # S64600 and a super extra long ball mount # 80232. With this set up, from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rack should measure 7-7/8 inches, which should clear the back of your 2012 Chevy Traverse.

We have not yet installed a transmission cooler on a Traverse so I do not have a video or specific instructions on removing the front clip. • I have linked you to the full installation instructions for the AirLift # AL60816. The factory bump stops you referred to are cut off, to provide room for the air spring. The hole in the upper spring seat is enlarged in order to allow the hose to pass through. This is addressed on page 4 and 5 of the instructions. When installing the air bags, it is absolutely crucial that the air lines are cut perfectly square otherwise they'll leak. We recommend using a tubing cutter like part # AL10530.
