MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust Installation - 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Today on our 2006 Chevy Trailblazer, well be installing the MagnaFlow Exhaust System Part Number MF16656. To begin our install, well first need to go ahead and remove the old or manufacturers exhaust system. To remove it, were going to go ahead and cut it into a couple of pieces. Using a reciprocating saw, well cut just in front of the rear muffler and then just behind the front muffler. Now with our exhaust system cut in 3 pieces well need to remove the 3 fasteners that secure the front flex pipe flange to the muffler exhaust pipe flange. Note I recommend to spray these with some liquid penetrant because over time theyll build up with rust, dust, dirt and debris, and can be very difficult to remove.

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Today on this 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer we are going to install the Prodigy P2 brake controller part number 90885. The first step is to get access to the wire harness itself. There is a plastic trim panel right here along this edge that goes toward the front of the vehicle. There are two screws here and here that we have to remove so you can take it down and out of the way to get to the wire harness. From here it should just unsnap. Over here on the far left is the wires for the brake controller. They are taped up so you will probably have to pull them out a little and we have our four wires. 00:43

  • Best Brake Contoller and How to Install in a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer with Factory Tow Package
  • If your 2006 Chevy Trailblazer has a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector then you would not use a brake controller wiring harness. Instead, the tow package wiring to install a brake controller is located under the dash. You will need to splice the wires from the controller to this wire bundle. The wire bundle is located under the dash, to the left of the steering wheel. It should be held together with a white tag. The tag should list the functions of the wires. On the brake controller,...

  • What Does the OC Error Code Mean on a Valley Journey Trailer Brake Controller
  • On the Valley Journey brake controller, the OC code indicates that the manual override lever is being applied and there is no trailer connected. If this is happening any other time, there are some things you can do to fix it. Start by fully applying the manual override and letting it snap back into place. Do this several times to clean the contacts inside the brake controller. Next, with the trailer disconnected, check the trailer connector on the vehicle and clean out any dirt and corrosion....

  • How to Determine if the Rooftop Bike Carrier S64720 will work on a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer
  • The Swagman Rooftop Bike Carrier, item # S64720, may work on your trailblazer, but it is a universal design and has not been tested to work with the angled cross bars on your vehicle. You would need to measure to determine if the 3-1/8 inches wide and 1-7/8 inches tall U-Bolts will be sufficient to span the width of the cross bars, and go through the rail far enough to allow the rack to be secured to the cross bars with the cross bars at an angle. A good way to do this would be to lay...

  • Will Curt Front Mount Hitch Part # 31055 Fit the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS Without Trimming
  • I spoke with my contact at Curt, and they have not had a chance to test fit the front mount hitch on an SS model. Frame should be the same between the SS and other models, but the SS front fascia is much different so it may require some fascia trimming, but they do not know where since they have not had a chance to fit one yet. The radiator may also be different or larger since the SS model got the 6.0 LS2 V8, a larger, higher output V8 than what came in the other V8 Trailblazer models. We...

  • Best Cargo Liner for 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer
  • It is a better and best situation. The Custom Molded Highland liner like part # 4501100 is better than a generic, non fitted liner. It is molded to fit which is always a good feature for floor and cargo liners. The WeatherTech, like part # WT40188 for your Trailblazer, is more durable material and is deeper, and the bottom surface grabs hold of the carpeting in the cargo area very well to keep it from sliding. Neither product is a bad choice, the Highland does a good job, but the WeatherTech...
