Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 BMW X5

Today on our 2003 BMW XV, we'll be installing part number 119190KIT. To begin our install we'll up the back hatch and tail gate and remove the side panels on both the driver's and passenger's side. We'll need to remove the floor liner as well as the spare tire in order to get to the battery. With the interior removed next, we are going to search for the wires we need to tap into. We'll find them hire in the wire harness assembly going into the tail light. There's a little tab that you can push down on to pull off the socket.

Today on the 2003 BMW X5, we're going to install part number, 87405 from Hidden Hitch. Heres what the hitch will look like once it's installed. Next, well give you some measurements thatll help you out in selecting some accessories for your new hitch, such as a ball mallet, a black rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground we're looking at 19 inches. And from the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost point of the bumper is going to be 4 inches.
