Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado - Curt

Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to install part number c15322 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the truck. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier.From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 19-1/2 inches and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be around 2-1/2 inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing we want to do is get underneath the vehicle and we have to remove two bolts from the end of the frame. Go ahead and remove these bolts and save them.



Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to install part number 75632 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like once its installed on the truck. Next we'll go ahead and give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier.From top of receiver opening down to the ground will be about 19-1/2 inches and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 2-1/4 inches and the hitch actually sticks past the bumper by a 1/4 of an inch. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing we'll do is get underneath the vehicle and we're going to remove two bolts at the very end of the frame. We'll remove these two bolts and keep these because these will be reinstalled with the hitch.Now we can go ahead and show you where the hitch we'll install on the frame.

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to install part number 13301 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like once its installed on the vehicle. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier.From top of receiver opening down to the ground will be about 17-1/2 inches and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 3-1/2 inches. Now I'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing we are going to do is go ahead and remove the two bolts that are into the frame. Next we'll go ahead and show how the hardware fits with the hitch.We have a 14mm bolt and a conical tooth washer with the teeth in the conical tooth washer facing up towards the hitch.



Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado well be installing the Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller, part number 39510 in conjunction with the Tekonsha Pigtail Wiring Harness, part number 7894. The first step of our install will be locating the manufacturers wiring up underneath the dash. This will be taped to the outside of a wire loom and a white sticker color indicator wrapped around it. Our first step will be cutting these wires free and pulling the sticker so we know which color has which power feed. Now for this application well only be using four of the five wires and the orange wire will not be used so Im going to go ahead and wrap it up then wrap up some of the wires with some black electrical tape. Then well go ahead and strip back each one of the wires adding a butt connector.



K-Source Back-Up Camera Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on this 2010 Chevy Silverado we're going to install part number KSVS-8. The K Source Vision System mirror replacement. To start off our install we're going to go ahead and remove the original mirror. Theres a small torqued screw underneath the base of the screw where it attaches to the windshield. We'll go ahead and remove that screw then we can go ahead and take off the mirror. We'll go ahead and disconnect the wiring that goes to the mirror.



Westin Sportsman Grille Guard Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Today in this 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to install part number 45-2310 from Westin. This is their bull bar. First step is to go ahead and open the hood and remove the radiator cover to gain access to the factory gill shell. We'll have to remove eight small push pins. Now, we'll go ahead and remove the four bolts from the grill shell. Now, we can go ahead and remove the grill.



WeatherTech Front Floor Liners Review - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2010 Chevy Silverado, we'll be test fitting the WeatherTech front floor liners part # WT450661 in tan. These are also available on black part # WT440661 and grey part # WT460661. Pilot Tube Step Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on this 2010 Chevy Silverado, were gonna install part number NB-109 from Pilot.Our attachment points are on the body bolts on this vehicle and there are three of them as theyre shown here.Next step is well go ahead and layout our parts. We have a short bracket that goes on the front and then the long bracket that stays in the center and then a tall bracket that goes in the back.So well go ahead and loosen up the body bolts. You want to do this by hand first because some of the models have a thread locker on there and an air ratchet could break the nut inside the body. When we take the bolts out, you wanna prepare the stock bolts to the bolts that come with the kit. Some models have a thicker bolt. If thats the case, go ahead and use the factory bolts.



Timbren Rear Suspension System Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on this 2010 Chevy Silverado well be installing a Timbren Suspension Enhancement System, part number tgmrck15s. First thing we need to do is remove the factory bump stop. We will be using a 10 mm socket and socket wrench to remove the bolt inside. With the factory mount stop removed we are ready to install the Timbren spring. Inside of the spring you will find a flat washer, and you will need to make sure that your bolt threads through that flat washer. Since the spring is larger in diameter it wont fit in the factory cup, so we need to add our plate to the top.



Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Silverado HD we are going to install a roof rack using part number TH480, the Thule Traverse roof pack foot pack, and THLB58, the load bars, and the fit kit THKIT1532. With this quick review we are going to show you how the Thule roof rack system looks on the vehicle. First off, we will go ahead and spread our towers on our load bars. The distance on our front rack is going to be 45-3/4 inches. And then the back bar will be moved to 45-1/2 inches. OK, let us go ahead and set our first rail on the truck. That will be the one going towards the front. And we are going to measure from the edge of the windshield to the center of the bar. And that measurement is going to be 11 inches. 0:46



Rhino Rack Roof Rack Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Silverado we are going to install a roof rack from Rhino Rack. We will be using part number DA1375 for the crossbars and it is their elliptical design. And we will also use the pad and clamp kit part number DK227. We have our bars already assembled. We measured out our front rail at 118 millimeters. We measured from here to the inside edge here. And our measurement for our back rail is going to be 109 millimeters. Alright, we have our bars set up. Let us go ahead and start installing the front crossbar. Measure the center of the door jamb to the center of the crossbar. We are going to measure out 9-27/32. 0:38



Rhino Rack Roof Rack Installation - 2010 Chevy Silverado

Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Silverado we are going to install a roof rack from Rhino Rack. We will be using these part numbers: DA1375, the roof rack itself, and the pad and clamp kit part number DK227. This is their heavy duty version of their roof rack. Alright, we measured out the lengths to the dimensions as described in the instructions. The distance on the front one will be 43-21/32 inches. And the rear measurement came out to 42-31/64. We have the roof rack set up. Let us go ahead and start installing the first one. We will work with the one that goes towards the front of the vehicle. Measure from the center of the door jamb to the center of the crossbar. We are going to measure out 9-27/32. 0:44



EGR Bug Shield Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series

Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series HD, we are going to be installing EGR bug shield part number 301401. When installing our bug shield, the first thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the hood. The bug shield is going to attach to the underside of the hood, using the existing holes. If you look here at the rear side and follow along the edge, you can see we have 5 existing holes here that we are going to use as our attaching points to our bug shield. With the existing holes located in the hood we can go ahead and start installing our bug shield. :32

Westin Tube Step Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series HD regular cab we are going to be installing Westin nerf bar part number 23-1400. We are looking at the driver side of the vehicle and the first thing we want to do is locate the body mount, the front and rear. The front body mount is located just rear of the front tire. If you follow rearward just about even with the edge of the door just below it is our rear body mount and that is what we are going to be attaching our nerf bar set up to. With those located we are going to start with the front body mount and what we want to do is remove the existing bolt. You can see that it is likely that the rubber bushing is going to come down as well and that is fine. We want to take that and set it off to the side for the time being and remove the rear body mount bolt. 00:55

  • I went out to the warehouse an pulled the Titan Reducer Sleeve 2-1/2 inch to 2 inch, and measured the inside dimension of the one I pulled at 2.068 inches with a dial caliper, I also measured the outer dimension at 2.469 inches, see attached photos I took for you. You mentioned tolerance, and that is an unknown factor.
