Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Toyota Sienna

Today we are going to install part number 118304 from Tow Ready. On a 2008 on a Toyota Sienna Mini Van. The first thing we are going to do is remove the tail lights. We will start on the passenger side then work our way over to the driver side. To remove the tail light we have to push down on this pin and pull the connector out. We will go ahead and do the same thing for the other side. The next thing we need to do is to remove this trim panel here. There are 3 of these latches we have to remove all the way across from left to right. Once we have those 3 latches removed we can now take off this back part of trim panel. You have to pry it out and lift it up at the same time and it will come loose. Now at this point we need to pull this panel away.

2008 Toyota Sienna Questions and Answers

  • Exterior Width of the Powerhouse Battery Box # PH13034
  • The outside dimensions of the Powerhouse Strap-Style Battery Box # PH13034 that you referenced is 11-1/2 inches long by 8 wide by 8-1/2 inches tall measured at the bottom of the box. The box has a slight taper to it and the width does get slightly wider at the top of the box but that should not matter since you just need the dimensions at the bottom of the box.

  • The Curt Class III 2-Inch Hitch, part # C13105, you have referenced, will fit your 2008 Toyota Sienna Limited. If you are meaning an installation DVD on the hitch, I do not offer any installation DVDs. I am including a link to the installation instructions and a link to an installation video of the Curt hitch being installed on a 2006 Sienna. The vehicle is a different year, but it is the same design second generation Sienna as you 2008 model. If you plan on doing some towing, I recommen

  • Which Trailer Hitch Offers the Most Ground Clearance for a 2008 Toyota Sienna LE
  • The 2008 Toyota Sienna sits low to the ground as it is. Adding any trailer hitch is going to reduce the ground clearance. The hitch that is going to provide the most ground clearance is a Class II hitch from Curt, # C12065. This is only because the receiver and crosstube are smaller (by a fraction of an inch). You may still bottom out on the hitch on inclines like driveways. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view. The hitch comes with the correct ball mount, h

  • Class III Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2008 Toyota Sienna Van
  • In my opinion, the Curt hitch, # C13105, is the least obvious once installed on a 2008 Toyota Sienna. This hitch has a cross tube that is designed to flare inward at the ends. The cross tube is also round rather than square with is more aesthetically appealing. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation of this hitch. I have also linked the instructions. This hitch has a high rating from our customers. If you plan on doing some towing, I recommend the etrailer ball mount

  • Comparing Thule Apex, Vertex, Parkway and Yakima DoubleDown Bike Racks for a 2008 Toyota Sienna
  • The Thule Apex, # TH9025, and Vertex, # TH9029, are among the newest racks available from Thule and are both solid all around bike racks. The Roadway series of racks is no longer available but the Parkway is, # TH956. This is an older rack that is very popular but is not as advanced as the newer racks. The Yakima DoubleDown, # Y02424, is a lot like the Parkway though it is not as popular and also lacks the design benefits of the newer Thule racks. The Apex and Vertex racks are easier to mo

  • Differences Between Curt Hitch # C13105 and Hidden Hitch # 87415 for a 2008 Toyota Sienna
  • As far as installation and strength are concerned, the two hitches are actually very similar. Both install in the same location and mounting holes on the vehicle, and both are rated to tow up to 3500lbs. Both hitches will also have a similar ground clearance, because they both would feature the entire cross tube running below the vehicle bumper once installed. The main difference in this case would really be aesthetics. The Curt hitch # C13105 is angled slightly near the ends, so it would

  • In order to use the Thule Big Mouth Roof Mounted Bike Rack, # TH599XTR, with the factory crossbars on your 2008 Toyota Sienna, there is one additional part you will need. Before the bike rack can be attached to the factory bars, you will need Thule Ride-On Adapter, # TH532, because the bike rack is not a direct fit by itself. I have included a link to a video review of the adapter and a link to a video review of the bike rack for you to view.

  • Recommend Ball Mount To Clear Rear Bumper of 2008 Toyota Sienna
  • We do have a ball mount that should work well for your towing setup, but, the item you referenced, Forged Ball Mount, part # 40332, will not provide the 7 inches of clearance from the pin hole to the edge of the bumper. The item you selected, Titan Ball Mount, part # 45291, cannot be used in the rise position, so it will not work for your towing setup either. A good solution to provide rise to keep your trailer fairly level when towing and to clear your rear bumper would be the Curt Ball
