Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Toyota Tacoma

Today we are going to be installing Valley hitch part number V82790 on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma. We are looking at the passengers side frame rail, and you can see at the end here we have got two existing weld nuts. • Mud Flaps for 2007 Toyota Tacoma Without OEM Fender Flares
  • For a 2007 Tacoma Access Cab not equipped with the fender flares, DeeZee offers two alternatives. Part # DZ1998 is a smooth Stainless Steel finish, and # DZ1800 is aluminum diamond plate. Either mud flap is offered for the rear wheels only. WeatherTech unfortunately does not offer a mud flap for a Tacoma without the OEM fender flares, therefore the # WT110033 mud flaps you mentioned will not work on your vehicle.

  • Weight Distribution Recommendation for a 2,510 lbs Trailer and 2007 Toyota Tacoma
  • You are correct, tongue weight is a key factor in determining which weight distribution system you should use. Basically, you want to go by the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and then add the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle to get the total tongue weight. A tongue weight of 256 pounds is the minimum since that is the dry hitch weight. Once loaded, that number will go up. I have included a link to an FAQ article on determining tong

  • Will Installing Suspension Enhancement Prevent Spring Failure on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma
  • Adding suspension enhancement products like # SSA1 will prolong the life of the factory suspension (provided that it is in good working condition when the system is installed). But if you exceed the capacities of the truck and/or the suspension enhancement used then that is going to take its toll on the vehicle and could still lead to failure. What suspension enhancement does is assist the factory suspension so it does not have to work as hard. That is why it prolongs the suspension life. It

  • Some drilling is required for the Roadmaster base plate kits if your 2007 Toyota Tacoma is a 2 wheel drive model. The 4 wheel drive and Prerunner models do not require drilling because there will be a bolt holding a frame cap in place. I have attached a photo showing where the drilling is required on the 2 wheel drive models. Only one 1/2 inch hole must be drilled on each side for the bottom support bracket. A few things to keep in mind with this base plate kit is that it will not work with

Your best bet is to figure out the best mounting situation for the easiest connection to your vehicles transmission fluid return line. • Weight Distribution and Sway Control Recommendation for a 2007 Toyota Tacoma and 5,200 Pound Trailer

With a trailer weighing 5,200 pounds, the tongue weight should be between 520 and 780 pounds (10 to 15 percent). I would go with a system rated for 400 to 800 pounds which would cover the entire range listed above. With friction sway control, there is a possibility t
