Trailer Hitch Installation - 2004 Ford Ranger

Today on this 2004 Ford Ranger we are going to install part number 70181 from Hidden Hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when it is installed on the vehicle. Next we will give you some measurements that will help you out in ing some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 21 inches. From the center of the hitch pin to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 3-1/2 inches. Thule XB16 Tire Chains Review

Today we are going to show you part number TH01571250 from Thule. This is Thules XB16 tire chains. As shown here, the tire chains come in a nice carrying box. Also the kit comes with a pair of gloves to help keep your mitts dry while you are installing the chains. It even comes with a couple of extra repair links. And finally it comes with a little kneeling mat to keep your knees from getting wet while you are kneeling in the snow. These tire chains use unique, color-coded connection points to ease installation. Basically you are just matching color for color to put everything together. This is also compatible with anti-lock braking and electronic stability control systems on some of the newer cars and trucks. Actually this set is specially made for commercial vehicles, RVs and for off-road adventures, too. Construction is hardened manganese nickel alloy steel. The chain link diameter is about 16 millimeters and it has internal clearance required to operate within the fender well of about 16 millimeters too. This does come complete with a 1-year warranty. Now we will go ahead and show you how it works and show you a typical installation.

Thule Professional Ladder Rack Tilt Installation

This works with the professional series ladder rack. To install the ladder tilt, what we have to do is disassemble a couple parts of the rack thats on your vehicle. What happens here is this rubber strip gets taken off and these ladder holders get taken off, they get replaced by the ladder tilt. The next piece that has to come off only temporarily is the end cap. We put this back on when we install the ladder tilt. This is the completed ladder tilt, it slides onto the track. This one rides on the top track and this one rides with a special bolt on the side track, then it just slides into place. Once its in place we can put our end cap back on. Then this whole assembly gets slid all the way to the end. You have a little adjustment left or right obviously. Start at the end and tighten down these bolts here. When youre finished with this one, repeat the process for the other rack.

The vehicle 4-Way is configured as follows: White = ground, Yellow = left turn/brake lights, Green = right turn and brake lights, and Brown = running lights. On the trailer, white is ground, yellow is left turn/brake, gr

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge with Manual Transmission and Blue Ox Tow Bar
  • According to Blue Ox, you can use base plates on the 2004 Ford Ranger Edge without tow hooks on the vehicle. When I did some research on flat towing the 2004 Ford Ranger Edge, I could only find information on models with an automatic transmission. If you have transmission M5OD-R-1HD then the Ranger is towable. If you have a 4 wheel drive, the transfer case will need to be placed in 2 wheel drive high and the manual transmission in neutral. Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual on the

  • Trailer Lights Do Not Work Correctly when Head Lights are On on a 2004 Ford Ranger
  • It sounds like you are having a ground issue. A bad ground can cause all sorts of problems just like you are describing. Since you have wired the trailer yourself, it should be easy to locate and fix any ground problems. Start at the front of the trailer and make sure the main ground is attached to a clean metal surface. If there is any rust or paint you will not get a very good ground connection. From there, you will need to check the grounds for each of the lights. Most trailer lights gr

The Hidden Hitch Class III, part # 87161 is only priced two dollars more than the Curt model, but offers the more common 2 inch receiver, instead
