Today on this 2002 Ford E-350 Super Duty Van, we are going to install part number 41926 from Draw-Tite. Now we are looking at the driver side of the vehicle frame rail and the hitch is going to mount up using this hole here, this one, and this one right here. It is going to be identical on both sides. This is going to be a really straight forward install. At this point we can already start installing our hardware. We are simply just installing blocks over the holes that we are going to use. Install another block here. And we repeat the same process back on the driver side. Now we can go ahead and put our hitch up, we just have to make sure that we have got a space there between the hitch and the frame at this spot here. If you notice, the frame overlaps here so we have got to take into account that, so it is a nice, straight, even plane. We will go ahead and start hanging the hitch.

  • After speaking to my contact at Draw-Tite about your 2002 Ford E-350 Van, I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 41906. It is a 2-inch receiver with a maximum gross trailer weight of 10,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 1000 lbs. It is custom fit for your van and requires no welding for installation. • Can a 2002 Ford E-150 Van Tow a 7,000 Pound Travel Trailer
  • Take a look at your trailer hitch and vehicle owners manual to determine if there is a separate rating for weight distribution. We have found that the max towing capacity of your van is 6,900 pounds. If that is what you find in the owners manual then you will need a lighter trailer. Hitches that are rated for use with weight distribution will have a separate gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacity listed that is higher because weight distribution allows the hitch to reach its maximum pot

  • The only hitch that is going to work for a 2002 Ford E-450 RV cutaway model is a multi-fit motor home hitch like # 13703. Measure the outside to outside frame distance. If it is 22 to 72 inches wide you can use this hitch. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.

  • Parts Needed to Add a 7-Way and Brake Controller on a 2002 Ford E-350 Cutaway Ambulance
  • A lot depends on what the factory 7-Way wiring is being used for. You may not want to tap into it if it is used for critical functions that might overload the circuitry in the event both are used at the same time. What I recommend is what you have suggested and adding a 4-Way to the tail lights, # 118344, provided the tail lights are the same on your cutaway as the regular E series van. If they are different then I recommend a powered converter, # 119146 and wiring kit # 118151. This will ge

  • Installing Brake Controller on 2002 Ford E250 Van without Full Tow Package
  • Because your van was equipped with the 4-way connector and not the 7-way, all of the necessary wiring has not been run back to the trailer connector. The wire for the brake controller output can be found in the main harness in the engine compartment above the brake master cylinder. The correct wire can be difficult to find, you will probably be better off running your own 12 gauge wire for the brake output voltage. Connect this wire to the blue wire on the rear of the controller and run through
