Once you have activated the Evolution, you are going to head to the main menu where you are going to start putting some information about your vehicle into the system. We have a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 so we will Chevy. And it is now prompting us to make sure that our key is in the on position. Do not start the motor. Just turn the key until your accessories come on. With our key on, we are verifying that we are indeed in a GM/Chevrolet truck. Select yes. • Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter Recommendation to Pull a Trailer with a 2002 Silverado Short Bed
  • I recommend the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter, # CAB-C5GX1216, because it will provide a more comfortable ride over the Ranch Hitch Universal Adapter, # AM3139. The cushioned adapter will absorb road shock to help reduce bouncing when towing your trailer. Keep in mind, this type of adapter is not recommended for trucks with beds shorter than 6 ft and this adapter will not allow you to safely execute a 90 degree turn. This adapter will provide additional clearance

  • Trailer Brake Controller on 2002 Chevy Silverado Does Not Work with Brake Pedal but Does with Manual
  • There are a few possible reasons why the brake controller is not working when you step on the brake pedal. First, if it was working before but now it is not then the most likely cause is a blown stoplight or CHMSL fuse. Use the legend on the power distribution box lid to find the fuse locations and replace as needed. You will also want to make sure that the connector that plugs into the port on the truck is pinned correctly. Basically, the wires coming out of the back of this plug should be i

  • Since you have successfully tested your trailer with other tow vehicles you have isolated the problem to your 2002 Silverado. You do not mention whether this vehicle/trailer combination has ever worked together properly before. If so, the problem could be deteriorated connections or a bad ground. If not, the harness may have been incorrectly wired from the start. One solution is to just remove all the existing wiring and install a powered taillight converter such as part # 119190. I have incl

  • Trailer Brake Lights Do Not Work, No Power on 7-Way Brake Light Circuit on 2002 Chevy Silverado
