Today we are going to review part number A90095 from SportRack. This is their roof cargo carrier. First off, you can get in the cargo box from the passenger side of the vehicle. It has two locks to secure that side of the lid, and it also has spring loaded hinges to help you pop up the lid, sometimes it is going to be a little high above your head and you will need a little help pushing it up. Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, well be test fitting the Yakima RocketBox Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box, part number Y07193. Our vehicle is already equipped with the Yakima cue tower roof rack system, and our RocketBox is already pre-assembled. So were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well need to simply set the RocketBox on top of the crossbars with the clamps just in front of each crossbar. Well then make sure that the clamps are in their open position, and then we can just slide the cargo box back so that the crossbars fall into the clamp openings. With the crossbars resting in the clamp openings, well simply open the lid and tighten down the red wing nuts located inside the cargo box. more

We're going to begin with our Jeep which has already been equipped with a roof rack system. In this case it will be elliptical bars. Now we've got our roof rack already assembled according to instructions so it's just a matter of placing it on the rack and seeing how it looks. Alright, now I'll go ahead and take our clamps, put them over the top of the plastic blocks that are on the cargo basket and then we'll run our U-bolt from underneath. As stated in the instructions, we will put the U-bolt on the underside of the crossbar. Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2012 Mazda CX-7 - Video

Rola Roof Cargo Basket Installation - 2012 GMC Yukon - Video

Alright today on this 2012 GMC Yukon, were going to a test fit of the Rola roof rack cargo basket part number 59504. A couple of notes about this, it has a black power coat finish to it and it will work with factory roof cross members but it has to be less than 3 and inches wide. One this particular test fit well be using 30 inches. Now you definitely want an extra set of hands to help put it up there on top of factory crossbars. Once you have it on the factory crossbars, take a few minutes to make sure its centered properly front to rear and left to right. Now well go ahead and install the mounting hardware, to install it there will be a clamp that goes over the top and basically a U bolt on the bottom. more

Today on this 2011 dodge avenger, were going to be test fitting the Yakima load warrior roof mounted cargo basket part number y07070. We already have a roof rack system mounted on our avenger. This is a Yakima system with round crossbars, however the load warrior basket is compatible with square bars and most of the oval or OAM crossbars available on the market. We have our basket assembled and put together and now were ready to mount it up on the vehicle. Our avenger uses a crossbar spread of 32 inches which will fit just fine on the last setting of our basket. We want to make sure that our basket is centered from left to right so we have the weight distributed evenly on the roof rack system. more

When tightening down the wing nuts of your clamps you just want to make sure that front to back they are tightened down evenly. more

This is Thules Spirit Cargo Carrier, and we are going to be loading this on to some Thule AeroBlade crossbars, and you definitely want to have an extra set of hands to help you load the box on top. We located the box on center across the crossbars, however you are not limited to that, you could also move to one side or the other to accommodate other accessories such as a bicycle rack. Lets go ahead and open it up and we will use the handles to tighten it down to the crossbars. The passenger side attaching points on the crossbars, now we will close the lid, go to the other side and repeat the same process on the drivers side. Okay and one last check we will go ahead and open up the rear hatch and make sure the hatch does not touch the cargo box. more

Today we are going to show you the Yakima SkyBox Pro 21 in Titanium, part number Y07186. The SkyBox 21 is a 21 cubic foot roof mounted cargo box. The SkyBox line features a slick, aerodynamic design that helps keep drag down to keep gas millage up and wind noise down. The box opens from both the passenger and driver side so that you can access it from either side of the vehicle. With the EndoSkel technology, the Yakima SkyBox line is three times stiffer than the other Yakima roof boxes. The installation is quick and easy with no assembly or tools required. Today we are going to show you the Thule Atlantis, part number TH685XT. It features an aerodynamic design that minimizes wind noise and drag. The box also features Thules secure lock system. A lock on either side of the box secures your lid and protects the cargo inside. The one-key system is interchangeable so that you can match all of your Thule accessory locks together. The Thule Atlantis is designed to fit Thule load bars, round cross bars and most factory-installed cross bars. The Thule Atlantis line uses a reinforced lid. The reinforcement structures provide some extra strength to the lid so that they do not flex like other boxes do when you open them. The floating struts on either end of the box are spring assisted to help you when opening the lid. The Atlantis line features Thules quick grip system. Thule Sidekick Roof Mounted Cargo Carrier Review - Video

Today we are going to show you the Thule Sidekick roof mounted cargo carrier, part number TH682. The Sidekick features 8 cubic feet of storage space and only weighs 16 pounds. The lid opens from the passenger side and there are two locks, front and back, to secure the lid closed. The contour of the lid and the foam gasket help the box seal up and keep moisture out. Inside, the spring assisted hinges help you open the lid. Inside the box, you will find pre-drilled mounting holes for our U-bolt mounts. Thule includes a set of vinyl stickers to cover the unused mounting holes. This will help keep moisture out of the box. The Sidekick uses a U-bolt mounting system. The U-bolts go on the underside of your cross bar and come up through the bottom of your Sidekick. On the inside, the plate fits over the top of the U-bolts and the wing nuts secure the cargo box on to your crossbars. It is designed to fit most aftermarket and factory installed roof racks. Once we have all of the U-bolts in place and tightened down, we can go ahead and load the cargo into the Sidekick. And that does it for the Thule Sidekick, part number TH682. more
