Today we are going to show you part number SC500 from Rage Powersport Products. What this is is a hitch-mounted wheelchair carrier and scooter carrier. This cargo carrier can also be used for a variety of other things, aside from the original purpose. What is nice about this is it actually comes with a 5-foot-long ramp to easily roll up your wheelchair or scooter onto the carrier itself. It uses a hinged, bi-fold ramp design It can also double as a regular cargo carrier. It comes complete with built-in tie-down mounting points, and also included is an anti-rattle device. And one last thing about the ramp itself is it can actually fold completely flat into the platform when you are not using it. Tow Ready Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Review - Video
Today we are going to show you the Pro Series 24 by 60 rail cargo carrier for 2 inch trailer hitches, part number 63153. The Pro Series cargo carrier is a fixed, light carrier designed to fit 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitches, class III or higher. The black powder coat finish resists rust and corrosion. The carrier uses a shank with a 2-1/2 inch rise to provide extra ground clearance. There is an optional light kit available, part number 20174, that is designed to fit the cargo carrier and provide all your basic trailer light functions turn signal, brake light and running light. The carrier features these nice, 5-1/2 inch tall side rails. These tall side rails are going to help keep your gear in the basket and will provide a good anchor point for your tie-downs. When you go to use a tie-down, make sure that you do not anchor to the expanded steal. It is not designed to bare any kind of tie-down load. Thule Enclosed Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Review - Video
Today we are going to be showing you part number 665C from Thule. This is their transporting and tilting enclosed cargo carrier. It slides into an inch and a quarter hitch, class 2, receiver or a 2 inch hitch which due to its lower height makes loading much easier. It has a tilt down design which makes gaining access to the rear of the vehicle that much easier. It also includes a lock for extra security. Now it also has an optional light and holder for a licensee plate for those long trips down the road which requires you to punch holes in the front of the cargo carrier. This carrier has 13 cubic feet of carrying space and has a weight capacity of 150 pounds. There is also a plug on the bottom of the carrier which makes cleaning a cinch. more

Tow Ready Cargo Carrier Light Kit Review - Video
This is a Light Kit for cargo carriers 63153 and 63155. We will show you how this light kit gets installed on a cargo carrier which is part # 63153. To begin with we will install the grommets, they just snap into place. They will be a little bit loose, but when you install the light it will spread out a little further. Now we simply install our lights, again they pop into place. When you have them in make sure the grommet is snapped in on both sides. Again for the other side. What we need to do next is start our wire harness, you have a yellow and brown wire, which goes to the left hand side. The green and brown wire goes to the right side. You want to make sure before you begin you have the right wire going to the correct side. This is the left side of the vehicle so we will go ahead and start our wiring. more

Rola Swinging Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Assembly - Video
First were going to stick the bottom half of the assembly into the hitch, we will start from there. Next well start installing the outriggers they will go on the bottom and support the cargo carrier itself. The next step we need to do is go ahead and install the wire harness. What we need to do first is go ahead and unpin the hinge mechanism and unfold it so we have plenty of working room to run our wires. Now we can go ahead and install our wiring, first we will install a zip tie loosely around the tube and then we will run our wires through it and then snug it up to secure it, to keep it from moving anywhere. We will leave all the zip ties reasonably loose for now, because we still have to work around and make sure we have plenty of length where the plugs connect to the cargo carrier as well as to the vehicle. Next thing we need to do is take apart the tray from the cargo box itself. We will go ahead and close the fold mechanism back up and we will start building on top of that. more

Rola 22x56 Folding Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Review - Video
This is a 22x56 folding polypropylene cargo carrier, this lightweight cargo carrier easily folds out of the way. With its lightweight design and solid support it actually assembles relatively easily and fits any 2 inch receiver hitch. This cargo carrier is a combination of steel and polypropylene. The steel frame gives it 500 pounds of carrying capacity while the polypropylene tray helps keep everything light. There is some assembly required but it is easy to do with sockets and wrenches. As you can see, the cargo carrier itself has plenty of holes and slots to give your tie downs plenty of room to grip. What is really nice about this carrier is that it also folds up. When you are not using it, why have it hang out? You can easily fold it up against your vehicle, go down the road, and when you get to your destination to pick up your object, lower it, strap it down, and you are good to go. Next I will show you how the hinge mechanism works. As you can see, we have a nice detail on the bottom side of the carrier. As you can see, it has all steel frame construction on the bottom, yet the polypropylene carrier itself makes it lightweight. Today we are going to show you part number 830850. This the 20 by 60 folding cargo carrier for 2 inch trailer hitches from SportRack. The features of this are that it is powder coated to resist corrosion, it is 20 by 60 expanded steel mesh floor and the shank is angled up for better ground clearance. The side rails help keep cargo in place to provide tie down points and the carrier folds up when not in use. It fits 2 by 2 trailer hitch receivers. It has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. From outside the rail to outside the rail is 21 and 1/4 by 61 and 1/4. The side rails measure 6 inches high and it is a 3 piece bolt together unit. Today we are going to show you part number 63153 from Tow Ready. We have a 24 X 60 rail and cargo carrier for 2 inch trailer hitches only. A couple of nice features about this, it is that it has a raised shank that elevates the carrier platform for a little bit better ground clearance. It is really good for a small SUV or mini van. It has a black powder coat finish that helps resist rust and corrosion. Also what is nice about this unit is it has an optional light kit. The capacity of this carrier is overall is 500 pounds. We will give you a couple dimensions on this carrier too. First off, it measures 12 and 3/25 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the carrier platform. The only thing a cargo carrier does not come with is a pin and clip or a locking clip. Those are both sold separately. more

Rola Swinging Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Review - Video
The first feature of this we will show you is the most obvious one. It is a nice one piece all enclosed unit to carry all your materials in. As you can see it is all one piece construction with no seams, also there is a drain hole in case something does spring a leak inside. Also what is really nice about this is that this is actually two products in one. You have enclosed carrier and you also have a tray on the bottom that you can use to carry your equipment too that does not quite fit in the enclosed section. We will show you how to take that apart with the two latches at the bottom. If you notice there are a variety of slots all around the perimeter of the tray itself, those are there to put down your tie down hooks. Put them in there and they will catch on the side or vice versa and secure your cargo. One nice feature about this is the built in tail light assemblies in case what you are carrying blocks off the tail lights you have on your vehicle you always have those for back up. Also if you plan to keep your cargo carrier on your vehicle for extended vacation or something like that, some states require you not to have your license plate blocked. This unit has provisions where you can screws to attach a license plate right here and here so your plate would end up mounting about like this. Also on top, there is two dimples here for an additional accessory that you can install that will allow you to have a license plate light. One of the most obvious features also on this rack is the swing away portion of it. This is so you can get into the back of your vehicle if you need to. As you can see this is a full featured carrier, actually two carriers in one. Its size, shape and appearance goes with a lot of small SUVs out there. Today we are going to show you the Surco 24 by 60 cargo carrier for 2 inch trailer hitches, part number 52018. This cargo carrier features a 500 pound weight capacity and inside tray measurements of 24 inches by 60 inches. Assembly of this carrier is easy thanks to its simple, bolt together design. The 5-1/2 inch tall side rails not only hold your cargo in place but also provide secure points for your tie-downs. Today we are going to demonstrate Rage part number SMC600, it is a single motorcycle carrier. The features of this carrier is it has four tie down points, it comes with the extra long ramp for loading the motorcycle. This product fits in a two inch receiver and has a max weight of 500 pounds. Another nice benefit of this ramp is the wheel chocks located up here. So when you role your motorcycle on top, the chock will turn over and hold the front tire in place which is really handy for stability purposes. What this is, is an enclosed cargo carrier working with a 2 inch receiver hitch. It also doubles as a regular cargo carrier. Plus the fact that as a regular cargo carrier, it can fold up and out of the way when you are not using it. We will go ahead and show you how it works. We will go ahead and show you the cargo box itself. It is real nice. As you can see, it is all plastic construction and is also weather tight construction on the door hinge itself. We will go ahead and open it and show you how it works. It has these suitcase type latches that hold everything down and they are lockable. Once you open it up you can see you have plenty of space inside. Also if you get anything inside or just want to wash it out, or what not, there is a plug in here to drain it. This carrier stands up and out of the way when not in use, saving you the bumps and bruises. The tall rail keeps your cargo safe and secure, also making it easy to attach your bungee cords or tie downs. This particular model also folds up when not in use to save space when you are in the garage or when you reach your destination. The platform measures 24 inches by 60 inches inside the rails. The overall dimensions are 25 and 1/2 inches by 61 and 1/2 inches. The side rails measure 5 and a 1/2 inches high. It fits 2 inch trailer hitches only. Today we are going to show you part number 52018 from Surco. What we have here is a 24x60 cargo carrier for a 2 inch receiver hitch. Includes integrated rails with rounded corners which makes for a nice sleek finish. With this all steel design with a rust resistant finish that is really easy to go together. In fact in only has 3 pieces you have to bolt together. Now we will cover some of the specs of this cargo carrier. First off the hitch that fits is only a 2x2 inch receiver hitch. Now we will cover some of the overall dimensions. From outside to outside the edge is 25-5/8 by 61-1/2. The actual interior dimensions is 24 by 60. One dimension to look out for is from the center hitch pin to the side edge here, you are looking at 5-1/2 inches. Also the cargo carrying capacity is 500 pounds for this cargo carrier. As you can see here we tied down a couple of objects here to give you an idea of how much room you had to play with. There are a couple of different ways of tying down cargo. Folding Cargo Carrier Adapter for 2 Inch Trailer Hitches Review - Video
This is a folding basket adapter for two inch trailer hitch mounted cargo carriers. Specifically this will fit cargo carrier model 52018. As you can see we have the parts laid out here, we will install them on a cargo carrier and show you how it goes. But we will just cover the main points of it. Basically you see this bushing right here, what is going to happen is it is going to actually fit inside the tube of the cargo carrier itself, inside like this, so you will not see it. What happens is, as a bushing it reduces it down for this bolt, so when it sits inside down here, it eliminates all the slop. This pin here is just for when you fold it up or have it down, it is just a pin that keeps it in place, that is all it does. It has two positions: one for up and one for down position. We have a cargo carrier here, we will go ahead and install the adapter bar here, pretty simple. Again you want to put your bushing in first, and that stays there and then you slide your adapter bar over. Then you install the bolt and the washer on each side. more

It does come in kit form and it does require some assembly. It is not too bad. It comes with clear and easy to understand directions. This unit only fits on 2 inch receiver hitches. We will show you the actual measurements from the inside of the cargo carrier. The inside width of the cargo carrier is 32 inches and the inside length is 48 inches. One of the nice features is it has a built in anti-rattle feature which is similar to what you see on high end bike racks. Another nice thing is it has 2 different holes to give you clearance for different types of bumper and hitch combinations. Surco Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Chrysler Town and Country - Video
Today on our 2012 Chrysler Town and Country we will be test fitting the 24x60 Folding Cargo Carrier part number 52018f made by Surco for 2-inch trailer hitches.Because our vehicle is already equipped with a 2-inch and our cargo basket is already preassembled, were ready to go ahead and fit it into the vehicle. Well start by sliding the shank into the hitch, lining up the hitch pin hole and then inserting the hitch pin with the safety clip. Please not that our cargo basket does have lights on it. This is not included with the cargo basket. With our hitch pin installed and our safety clip in place, our cargo basket is not secured to the vehicle.What wed like to do for you now is to give you a couple of measurements of this cargo basket from the lower most point of the cargo basket to the floor is 10 inches. From the closest point of the cargo basket to the back of the vehicle is 3 inches. more

The carrier measures 13 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the carrier platform. When folded up, the distance measures 7-1/2 inches from the closest edge of the carrier to the hitch pin hole. The Pro Series 20 by 48 cargo carrier uses a step shank to add extra ground clearance behind the carrier. Alright. today we are going to review motorcycle carrier, part number AMC400 from Rage Powersports products. OK, this motorcycle carrier is their aluminum version with a tray that holds the bike that is aluminum. Also, the loading ramp is aluminum. However, the main post that goes into the receiver hitch is a painted and primer steel shank. It also comes with an anti-rattle device. So when you install it, it helps to keep it from rattling around a little bit. And the loading ramp is actually stored with the carrier. The carrier does come with a tie-down loop to help tie down your bike, too. There is one on the outboard side and one on the inboard side. There is a bolt in the front where you put your front wheels. It is adjustable. You can take out one bolt for larger size wheels and you install the bolt for a smaller size vehicle. Rola Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Review - Video
The dimensions of this are 23x56, which are on the inside of the cargo carrier itself. If you notice the sides actually slant out a little bit to provide a wider area on top, which comes out to almost 59 inches. As you can see here it has a heavy duty expanded metal base to it, this is actually one of the heaviest cargo carriers we carry. Also on the side of the rails it has built-in cut outs in case you want to add a light kit to it. This cargo carrier comes in five pieces. It sounds like a lot but it is actually realy easy to assemble. I will show you the pieces and how it comes. As I said before, it will come to you in five pieces and it is really easy to assemble. You will have a left and right hand side of the basket, two chrome handles, and last piece is the shank itself. You can see the front half of the shank here, and it goes all the way back here to your hitch. This is all a welded one piece unit. You can see here the shank has a two inch rise to it, which really helps vehicles that sit low to the ground. more

Tow Ready 24x60 Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Assembly - Video
This cargo carrier has a capacity of 500 pounds and requires a 5/8 pin and clip, sold separately. Alright, we are going to show you how to put it together, obviously it is not rocket science but we will show you a couple of hints that will make it easier to put together. The best way to start off simply is just go ahead and have the cargo carrier upside down like we have it and just simply really just bring the two halves together. Make sure it is good and tight and you have separations equal on both ends. They wont be perfect but get them as close as possible. And then what we will do next is go ahead and install our side plates. Make sure you have the logo facing the right way, we are upside down for the moment, and just go ahead and put it together. Now we can go ahead and tighten our bolts down. Now repeat for the other half. Now that we have the basket itself assembled and tightened down, next assure every thing is secure on top more
