Today we are going to be installing the 4-Pull converter, part number 119175 on a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta. Okay we are inside the trunk area and I have already removed the bottom portion of the trunk well area and the rear threshold piece. The wires that we are going to need to access are going to be directly behind the tail lights. And there is actually a door here, if you open this up and fold this down you can open this door and you can see the main wiring harness for the tail light is right here at the bottom. So you can actually follow that down and test those wires. more

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 119175 on a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta. OK, we are in the trunk now, and we are going to go ahead and locate the wires that we are going to be tapping into for the wiring harness. I went ahead and removed the bottom carpeting pieces to give me a little bit more room to work. Over here on the drivers side, you can see if I remove this little lid for this compartment here and pull back this piece here, that will give us access to the wires here on the drivers side. We can access 4 of the 5 wires right over here. We are going to need to run a lead over to the passengers side tail light assembly to make our connection there. We need to go ahead and figure out which wire goes with which function we are looking for. It appears to be the green wire with the yellow stripe is the left-turn signal. Next, I am going to test for the running-light function, and that wire appears to be the green one with the white stripe. Next, we are going to go ahead and test for the brakes. OK, and that appears to be just the solid green wire. more
