Today on this 2002 Toyota Rav 4, we are going to install part number 118389 from TowReady. This T1 wire harness installs inside the vehicle behind both tail lights. What that means is we are going to have to get inside the vehicles, take out a couple of the side panels, and the floor coverings as well. Next we will take out the threshold. There are two tie downs next to the side panels, we will take those out next. The we will take the access panels off the side of the interior side panels and then we will open up the panels to have access to the tail lights, and then we will have to pull back the panels themselves a little bit. :39 more

Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Toyota Matrix

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118460 on a 2009 Toyota Matrix. We are inside the rear cargo area of the matrix here and we are going to go ahead and point out the mounting location for our wiring harness. The ports that we will be plugging into are located directly behind the tail light assemblies here on the interior of the vehicle. You can see when I remove the cover here on the passenger side our plug is located right there. It is a little bit harder to get to on the drivers side, we actually will have to remove a couple components to gain access to it. So to start I am going to remove the rear cargo area here so that we can run our wire from one side to the other. And then we are going to pull back the access panel here on the driver side. Now with the interior panel pulled back a little bit you can see through the opening the plug that we are going to be plugging into. more

Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Toyota Tacoma - Video

Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Toyota Tacoma

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118393 on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma. The first thing we are going to need to do is to remove the tail lights from the vehicle. To do that, we are going to go ahead and lower the tailgate, like we have already done, and on the inboard side here there are three screws that we are going to need to remove to get the tail light assembly off. So we need to do that for both sides. Okay, with the screws removed, we can gently wiggle the tail light assembly back and forth to allow us to remove the push rivets that are at the bottom. And with the tail light pulled back, you can see here is the connection point that we are going to be plugging our harness into. So you want to go ahead and disconnect that. You can see here that there is a push tab. Set that off to the side for the time being. We are going to go ahead and take our harness, and we are going to start with the connection that has the yellow and brown wires on it. This is the one that is going to be plugged into the drivers side assembly. And you can see here on this side we have also got a white wire with a ring terminal on it. This is for the ground. We are going to need to take and feed this below the vehicle and attach this to the frame. more

We will just push that back for now. And this trim panel, it comes off also. And the next thing we need to do is take off this panel here. We need to loosen it so we can get behind the tail light assembly. We will take off this screw here, and then we will undo this screw here to take off this buckle so that gives you easier work room to pull off the plastic. Also, behind this panel there might be a screw that you might need to take out too. We will take off this panel here for a little bit extra room, too. more

Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Toyota Highlander

Today we are going to do an install of part number 118248 the T One connector from Tow Ready. It will be installed on our 2006 Toyota Highlander. To get to our access point which is about down here and underneath this panel. So we will have to roll back the carpeting and pull up the tray and gain access that way. Once you get everything out of the way it is pretty clear that this is the plug right here for the harness. So our T connector can plug right into here. Then our ground wire will actually mount to this ground bolt right here. We took our ground bolt out and we will simply install our ground wire here and run it back through there and install it. Next we will install the module box itself using the self adhesive tape that is on the backside of the connector. more
