Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Pontiac Montana - Video
Today on this 2006 Pontiac Montana we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118396. We are at the rear of the vehicle, with the cargo door open, and we want to go ahead and locate the port that our wiring harness is going to be plugging into. The ports are located directly behind the taillight on both the driver and passenger side. So the first thing that we want to go ahead and do is remove both taillight assemblies. Holding the taillight in place on the inboard side are two torque headed bolts. We need to go ahead and take those out. 0:38 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation- 1999 Pontiac Montana - Video
Today on this 1999 Pontiac Montana we are going to install part number 118355 from Tow Ready. This is our T-1 wiring harness. The first thing we need to do is get in the back of the vehicle and get behind the access panel on the driver side. Pull out this panel right here, there is this plastic panel behind that, this is the part we are going to have to remove. Towards the back we should find our connector that will match up. :31 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Pontiac Vibe - Video
Today we're working on a 2009 Pontiac Vibe. We're going to install a Tow-Ready T1 Connector Part # 118460. First, we're going to access the rear cargo area of the vehicle. We're going to open up the tray door for the spare tire well. And then we'll just take that out, set that aside for reinstallation later. We need to remove the threshold here across the back.Take your gear, screwdriver or trim tool, get underneath the plastic, gently pry it up to free the fasteners from the sheet metal. more

Wiring Harness Installation- 2002 Pontiac Montana - Video
Today we are working on a 2002 Pontiac Montana. We will be installing a Tow Ready T-One connector, part number 118355. Our first step is going to be accessing the rear cargo area of the vehicle. We are going to remove the storage compartment door. Then remove these two plastic tabs here and pull back the trim panel to see if we can access our trailer plug from here. :22 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Pontiac Vibe - Video
Today we are working on a 2006 Pontiac Vibe. We will be installing Tow Ready T-one connector, part number 118458. First we will access the rear cargo area of the vehicle. Then we are going to raise up the cargo hold for the spare tire. We will actually remove the cover over the spare tire which also holds the spare tire tools. We will go ahead and set that aside. Once we do that, we can go ahead and open this access door. We will go ahead and set that off to the side. Next we are going to take the red and brown wire and the yellow and white wire here, both connecters. We will feed them through the access hole here and bring them out though our access panel up here. Now I am going to set those aside for a second. 0:49 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Pontiac G8 - Video
Today on this 2009 Pontiac G8 we are going to install part numbers 119176, the modulite from Tow Ready. And also we are going to install part number 118151, also from Tow Ready, the modulite wiring kit. The first thing we need to do is get inside of the vehicle so we have to open up the trunk. And we will have to remove some carpeting and interior panels to get access to the wire harness. Remove the tie-down points so we can remove the threshold panel here. Push it back a little bit and then just pull up on the snaps. Alright, there are a couple more attachment points we need to pull out. Now that we have all of our panels pulled back, we have access to the wiring. And you can see here on the driver side, there is a battery. So we will run our hot lead for our modulite to the battery right here which is fine. 1:10 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Pontiac Torrent - Video
Today on this 2007 Pontiac Torrent we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118432. We are in the rear cargo area of our Torrent and we want to locate the port that we are going to be plugging our wiring harness into. This port is located actually in our jack storage compartment connected to the bottom floor board. The first thing we need to do is get inside here and remove our jack. With that removed if you look down at the bottom of the floor board you will see an open ended port which we are going to be plugging our wiring harness into. 00:38 more

First we will show you where the T Connector plugs in at, it is actually in the jack storage compartment down toward the bottom at the floor. So to get access to it we are going to do is take off this panel and remove the jack tools themselves. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix - Video
Today we are going to show you the install of part number 18172. It is a 4 pole wiring harness which needs to be hardwired through the vehicle. It is not vehicle specific but we will be showing the the typical application of it. The vehicle we will be using is a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix. The wiring is located behind the paneling here. In here we will pull apart the covering here and get to the all different kinds of wiring. Too find out what color does what we will need a test light. You connect it to a wire and turn on one function at a time. Running lights are on as we touch the wires with the wire tester to find the action of each wire. Now that we know which one is the running lights circuit on your 4 pole. We will go ahead and start with the running lights, and to verify we will turn off the running lights and make sure that is our circuit. So we will go ahead and install the running lights to our 4 pole. On your packaging you can tell what wire does what. Green is right turn, brown is running lights, yellow is left turn and white goes to ground. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Pontiac Torrent - Video
Today we are going to install a T-1 wiring connector by Tow Ready on a 2006 Pontiac Torrent, part number 118391. To begin our install, we are going to remove the side panel it just snaps out. Next we have to take out the jack. Once the jack is removed we want to look for the wiring harness. As you can see, the wiring harness is just electrical taped down in the bottom of the cavity of the frame, and once you get it freed up, all you need to do is just connect the wiring harness to it and ground it, and then you are good to go. more
