Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Nissan Murano - Video

Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Nissan Murano

Today on this 2009 Nissan Murano we will be installing wiring harness part number 118481. Okay, we are inside the rear cargo area of the Murano here. And the connection points for our wiring harness are going to be located on the inside of the vehicle here. Behind the interior panels on both the driver and passenger sides. To gain access to these connection points we are going to need to do some removing of the interior portions of the vehicle. We need to remove the rear threshold plate here. There are three push pins here at the interior side of the threshold plate that we need to remove. We can do that by simply taking a flat head screwdriver and popping the middle piece up and that will allow the clip to release. From there we can just kind of gently rock back and forth on the threshold plate until the top clips up here release and we can set that side. more

Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Nissan Xterra - Video

Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Nissan Xterra

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118244 on a 2004 Nissan Xterra. We are underneath the vehicle. With the spare tire removed we are taking a look at the passengers side frame rail here. You can see right at the top of the frame rail we have got this plug with a cap on it. That is the plug that we are going to need to plug our harness into. I am just going to remove the cap, and I am just going to push the button in on the top here and remove the cap. And then we are just simply going to plug our harness into that and secure any of the extra wires that you may have on the 4-pole, using some zip-ties. And you do want to test all functions to make sure that you are getting power on all active ports. And this will conclude the installation of wiring harness part number 118244 on a 2004 Nissan Xterra. more

Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Nissan Rogue - Video

Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Nissan Rogue

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118480 on a 2009 Nissan Rogue. We have opened up the rear hatch of the vehicle and we are going to go ahead and point out where we need to locate the connection points for our wiring harness. The connection points are actually located behind the tail light assemblies, on the inside of the vehicle, behind these panels, on both sides of the vehicle. To gain access to those, we are going to need to remove quite a few items here from the rear end of the vehicle. To release these screws here, you actually want to align the arrows. There is an arrow here on the inboard side, along with the arrow on the knob. If you align those two, it will allow these two clips to release. There are also three screws here that are holding this compartment in that we are going to need to remove as well. more

Wiring Harness Installation - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder - Video

Wiring Harness Installation - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118361 on a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder. And this installation will also apply for the Infiniti QX4 as well. The wiring installation is actually going to be done predominantly on the inside of the vehicle here. What we need to do is, I have actually opened up the rear hatch of the vehicle. Connecting points for the wiring harness are actually located behind the interior panels on both sides of the vehicle, directly behind the tail light assemblies. So the first thing I am going to do is go ahead and take out the six screws holding the rear threshold piece and then pry away the rivets on the sides to gain access to the connectors. We will just set that off to the side for the time being, and I will go ahead and pull back the carpeting. more

Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Nissan Titan - Video

Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Nissan Titan

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number V30608 on a 2006 Nissan Titan. OK, we are underneath the vehicle here, and we are actually looking at the back side of the bumper just a little bit forward excuse me, just a little bit rearward - of the spare tire. We are on the drivers side, and you can see this port right here. This is actually the port that we are going to be plugging into for our wiring harness. So the first thing that we want to do is go ahead and disconnect that from the little pop rivet that is in here. And then you can go ahead and pull that down, like so. From there, you can see there is a little cap on there. You press the button here and and pull that right off. And that is where our wiring harness is going to plug into. more

Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Nissan Frontier

Today we are going to be installing a T1 wiring harness, part number 118362, on a 2003 Nissan Frontier. Looking up underneath the vehicle now. And you can see, we are looking back towards the bumper right on the rear side of the spare tire here. If you take a look at the passenger side, the harness is going to be right here. What we will want to do is go ahead and disconnect that and pull these 2 pieces apart. As you can see there is kind of a pin in there that we need to push in then you can pull these 2 pieces apart, like so. Now that we have the wire disconnected here we can go ahead and put our T-harness in line. As you can see there are 2 ends on it as well. You just plug the coinciding ends together. Okay, we are going to go ahead and mount the ground now. And we want to actually mount that directly to the frame so that we make sure that we have a good grounding point. more

Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Nissan Xterra - Video

Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Nissan Xterra

To give you an idea of what were going to do, typically the modulite and other hardwired modules will get wired usually behind the tail lights. Most of the time you get four functions on the left hand side and the one right turn function on the right hand side. However on Nissans they actually run part of there tow harness here and this is the plug right here. Whats active on it only is the left and right hand turn and the brake signal. The wire is ran for the running light, but is not active. To make it active you have to buy the whole towing kit from the manufacturer OEM. What were going to do is show you a way to work around that where you dont have to run behind the lights and just basically fill in the blanks with the tow package. The First thing we need to do is mount our wiring module. It seems a pretty safe spot would be along the side of the hitch right here. more

Wiring Harness Installation - 2005 Nissan Murano - Video

Wiring Harness Installation - 2005 Nissan Murano

Today we are going to show you the installation of part number 55571 from Curt. We are going to install this on a 2005 Nissan Murano. For this install what we need to do is open up the back hatch and remove some inner panels. Both of the covers on the left and right come off. These compartments will also come out. Now to remove the threshold what you want to do is remove this little panel underneath the hook. There are also 3 plastic releases in the back along with these 3 rivets in the back. Take those out and this whole panel will unsnap and come apart. We need to take this cover off so what we do is work it a little loosely and the pop this handle out and you can pull the whole thing out pretty easily. Then go ahead and pop those pins out of the side paneling so you can pull it off. Now you can see where the harness and the tail light connect. more
