Today on this 2004 Jeep Wrangler we will be installing wiring harness part number 118409. We are underneath the Wrangler here, we are actually directly under the tail-light assembly underneath the car. The ports that we are going to be looking for to plug our harness into are located up above this rubber covering here. So we need to pull this back to gain access to the port. You can see we have one push pin here that is holding it into place, so we need to release that first. more

Today we are going to install part number 118409 from Tow Ready. This is a T-1 connector, and we are going to install this on a 2006 Jeep Wrangler. First we will show you where the connection points are on the vehicle itself. The connection point is behind this plastic up in this body cavity here. Sometimes the connector is in plain view sometimes it is kind of off to the side, kind of more inside to the center of the vehicle. So sometimes you do have to dig for it, but it is in there. more

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118369 on a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We are inside the rear of the vehicle, and we are going to go ahead and locate the connector for the wiring harness. The Grand Cherokee actually has a separate port where our wiring harness is going to plug into. And it is actually located on the drivers side, right here behind this interior panel that sits right about - right in here. So, we are going to need to remove this, and to do so we are going to need to take out a few screws. Take out the two screws that are holding down the tie-down hooks and then we want to take out the one screw that is holding the drivers side of the rear threshold piece. I am just going to come in and start here at the rear portion. I am just going to take a regular, flat-bladed screwdriver and just it here behind the panel. And just gently pry back until you hear the clips release. more

Today we are going to install part number 118382 from Tow Ready, and we are going to install this T-1 harness on a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The connection points on our T-1 harness are going to be behind the tail lights on the passengers side as well as the drivers side. What we are going to have to do is to take off the tail lights to get to the connection point. So first off, I am going to open up the doors and remove the tail lights. We will need to take out these two screws here, and then the light assembly will pop off. OK, here is the connection point right here. So what we have got to do is disconnect this point here from the tail light, and we are actually going to remove the whole tail light assembly from the vehicle just for now. There is a little red tab right here that we have to push up to unlock it. Squeeze right here and it comes right apart. This little clip right here, we have got to undo that, too. All right, we are going to do this on both sides of the vehicle. more

Today we are going to install part number 118356 from Tow Ready, and we are going to install this on a 1996 Jeep Wrangler. OK, we will start off by positioning our 4-pole flat behind the hitch, and we are just going to leave it loose like that for now. And we will run our wires to the drivers side and the passengers side. Starting with the passengers side, which will be the green and white wires, we are going to run it behind the hitch itself, because there really is not anywhere else where you can hide the wiring on this particular vehicle. So, it is going to take quite a few zip-ties to hold everything in place. And our junction point will be up here, behind this plastic here, approximately in this area here. All right, we will just take down this plastic right here. more

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118446 on a 2008 Jeep Patriot. The attaching points for our wiring harness are going to be located directly behind the tail light assembly on both sides of the vehicle. So, the first thing we want to do is to remove the tail lights. There are two push pins on each assembly that need to be pulled out. With the push pins removed we can remove our tail light assembly. You can see this is the connector we are looking for to make our connection to our wiring harness. To remove the tail light we want to take this red tab and pull it out and then push the little clip here and pull it right off. more

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118349 on a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. OK, we are inside the rear of the vehicle now, and we are going to go ahead and locate the ports for the wiring harness. The ports can actually be located on the interior side, directly behind the tail light assemblies. Here on the drivers side is actually a door that we can remove and be able to locate the ports inside of there. On the passengers side, we actually are going to have to remove the interior panel and gain access that way. So, the first thing I am going to do is go ahead and remove the spare tire off the holder, so I can get a little more room to do some work here. more

Today we are going to install part number 118354 from Tow Ready, and we are going to install this on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. To begin our install, what we have to do is get inside the vehicle, because all of the components are installed inside the vehicle on the drivers side behind the panel. And, once we are finished with the install, all the wiring is going to remain inside the vehicle. The first step that is going to be involved is taking off the spare tire, right here. We need to take this hook off, and then we need to take off this stand here. All right, next we will remove a couple of screws here from the threshold so we can move this piece outward. And one on top. And then we will take our panel loose. And we do not have to take it all the way off, but we just need to get back to these connectors back here. more

Today we will be installing wiring harness part number 118409 on a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. We are underneath the vehicle we are actually directly below where the tail lights are on the back side of the vehicle. You can see it has got this kind of vinyl cover here underneath the body. We are going to have to actually pull back the wiring harness locations for both sides they are back up in here. So, to do that, you can see there is a push pin right here that needs to be pulled out, which can be kind of difficult to do, but it does come out. And that will allow us to pull the cover off. And if you can see, there is the harness. It has got some tape over it, but it is located right here. more

On this install we are going to install part number 118382 it is a T-One wiring connector for a 2002 - 2007 Jeep Liberty. First Step involves getting to the tail lights themselves. What we need to do is open the door and get to the screws that hold the tail lights in place. First step is taking off the tail lights, well start with the easy side (The right side). Once you get the screws out, a good tip is to put a piece of paper between the bumper and the light, you will probably be pulling down on the light and you might scratch the paint. Once you have your tail light housing off you might as well take it off the wire harness because your going to need to anyway. The trick is to this, its pretty easy, there is a little red tab here you just go ahead and push out. Then there is another tab here to push down on, and this thing comes apart. Moving on to the drivers side, its a little harder to get to the screws. Basically you get a long extension to get to the screws and just back them out the other side. more

Today we are going to be installing a wiring harness 118369 which will fit 1999 to 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We are inside the back hatch now of the Grand Cherokee. There are also going to be 3 screws we are going to have to remove to access the wiring harness. You need to remove this screw here on the threshold. Both of these screws are here for the cargo tie down. Both of which need to be removed also. With these 3 screws removed we want to go ahead and remove this whole interior panel here. Besides the screws there are push rivet fasteners that are all inside here and along the inside of the side pieces as well. So we need to gain access to the interiors so we need to pop this side off. Go ahead and remove the bottom cargo tray to give us a little more room to work. more
