This Tow Ready 4 way flat trailer connector is hardwired to the vehicle to provide a trailer connector powering the running lights, turn signals and brake lights on a trailer. This demonstration will show exactly what you will need to do to install the flat four pole trailer connector on a 2000 Dodge Neon. Even if you do not have a Neon the video will provide you with a better idea what will be required for vehicles where the 18002 flat four pole is recommended. more

Today we are going to install part number 37185 on an 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. And this has the factory 4-pole installed with the vehicle, from the factory. What we are going to do is upgrade this up from a 4-pole to a 7-pole and 4-pole combination. And we are going to start by using this factory cut-out here for the 7-pole itself. It is actually just a cover. It just pops off, and we can install our 7-pole adapter right there. Before we install this into the bumper, we have to do one little modification, because the bumper is just a little bit too small. Basically we are just going to grind the little edge off here, just about 1 inch on the passenger side - just enough to help it pop into place, right here. Go ahead and install it. There it is, just enough room to snap into place. Then we will put our four bolts in to hold it secure. more

Today we are going to install part number 118172 from Draw-Tite, and we are going to install this on a 1991 Dodge Dynasty. To begin our install, we have to get behind the wiring harness. It is going to be behind the carpet here and here. We are just going to pull away this carpet a little bit and get to the back here. And this is the wiring harness right here, and you can tell it comes from the front to the rear and splits off to the left and the right sides. We have already kind of cut into it so we could see where the wiring was at. And these are our wires. We will go ahead and use our tester and prove which wire does what for what function. more

Today we are going to install part number 118446 from Tow Ready on our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. First what we need to do to start is get behind the tail lights. So we will have to open up the trunk and take out 2 screws on each side to undo the tail lights. There are 2 torque screws that have to come out and you just simply pry off the light. You will see 2 tabs, just pull straight out from there. For now we will just go ahead and let the light sit there so we will have to make our T1 connector right here. Again it is the same thing for the other side. To begin our install, we will take our 4 pole and our converter box and stick it behind the bumper. And it will come out below the bumper. Also the wires going to the passenger side will go down there too. These will eventually get run down underneath the bumper to the other side. Just to make sure we have the socket to hook up take a look at the outside. Obviously this is going to be your reverse light. And your turning signal and running lights and brake lights are going to be this bulb. So you are going to want to take this socket and this bulb apart. You have to unlock it and it should come apart just like so. Then you reinstall the T-1 connector in the same spot. Then take the other 2 halves you have left over and connect those together. Make sure you put the red locks back into place. more

First were going to install the wiring harness which its a simple four pole flat, which is going to plug into this harness here. Well bypass the factory tow package here and it will just plug into that and well show you how it works. It would be a good reason maybe to bypass the tow package because this will all be one sealed unit when were done and then you dont have to worry about individual splices coming undone in the future if you splice them to the harness. more

Today we are going to install a T-One wiring harness on a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan. First step involved is removing the tail light assemblies, so we will open the hatch and get started on that. Next step we have to do is pull out the grommet and put a slit into it, this is done so that we can run our new wires coming that are coming out of that grommet out through to tail light and back to the wire harness. Now its the time to go ahead and open the jack storage door, and we will run our wires towards there. We will also need to get behind this trim panel, to get that freed up we will have to take out the threshold. The threshold will be this part here, then we can pull this part out. Opening up that plastic trim panel will give us room to stick our hand in there and help thread the wiring to the jack storage area. more

Today, we are going to show you part number 37185 which is an adapter goes from a 4 pole up to a 7 pole and additional 4 pole on the side. What we have here is a Dodge 4X4 Durango. It does not matter what vehicle you are working with as long as you start off with a basic 4 pole flat that is already installed, then you can upgrade from there. A multi-tow adapter does come with its own bracket to mount up with if you do not have an existing bracket, as in our application here, the hitch itself does supply the bracket. For comparison sake, this is the one that comes with the part number, 37189, but we are not going to use this today. We are going to use the factory bracket. I will show you how it mounts up we will mock it up there, and show you what is going on. That will essentially be are finished product when we are done. more

Along with your custom receiver hitch for the Dodge Charger you will also need a wiring connector when pulling a trailer. We offer a custom wiring harness that requires no cutting or splicing and will provide a flat four pole connector. This will power the trailers running lights, brake lights and turn signals allowing you to safely and legally tow your toys, boat and trailer. You may also want this to power lights on a cargo trailer or to use a light up receiver hitch cover. more

Today we are going to install part number 37185 on our 2006 Dodge full size pickup 1500 with the 4 pole wiring flat installed from the factory. To begin our install the bumper already has a knockout ready for a 7 pole trailer connector. All I have to do is pop off this cover and it is ready to go. Next we can go ahead and install our 7 pole. Basically you just plug it right in and then give it a little push so it snaps into place. Now we can go ahead and install our hardware. We can now move under the vehicle to make some of our final connections here. In this application we are just going to install the 4 pole. There is not a brake controller or hot lead being used so we will bind this all back up and tuck it out of the way. We will go ahead and install some dielectric grease in here then install them together. more
