We can set the tail light off to the side for the time being and go ahead and do that for the passenger side as well. We are going to continue over here on the drivers side, and pull the grommet away from the vehicle. This wiring is actually a powered unit and when we pull the grommet away we actually have an existing power wire that were going to use. If you follow the tape forward here you can see there is a red wire here that is taped off and if you cut that back, there is a connector on there and were going to go ahead and use that. more

We are at the rear of the Town and Country and the first thing we want to do is go ahead and locate the ports that we are going to be plugging our wiring harness into. These ports are going to be located directly behind the taillight assembly on both the driver and passenger sides. So the first thing we want to do is go ahead and remove both of those taillight assemblies. To do that, you can see we have opened up the cargo door here. And if you look at the inboard side of the taillights, we have two screws holding the taillight into place. With those two screws removed, we can take and we want to rock the taillight assembly back and forth a little bit because there are some outboard side clips holding it into position still. OK, with the taillight pulled back here, for clarity purposes I am going to go ahead and disconnect the taillight assembly and set it off to the side. And to do that, I am just going to go ahead and release the connectors. To do that, you can see on the bottom side of each one there is a red tab. If you take and pull that back that releases the clip. And then there is a button here on the top. Press that in and that will separate the two pieces. 1:03 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1997 Chrysler Concorde - Video
Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 119175 on a 1997 Chrysler Concorde. OK, we are inside the trunk area here, and as you can see, I have gone ahead and removed the rear carpeting to expose the wires that we are going to be tapping into to wire the wiring harness. We can go ahead and access most of the wires directly right here in this area. The first thing we want to do is to go ahead and probe the wires to determine which function each wire carries. The first thing we want to do is to test for our left-turn signal. And it appears to be this light green wire coming directly out of the harness. Then we want to find our right-turn signal, which appears to be the tan wire that is feeding over to the passengers side. Then we want to find the brake line, which again appears to be the white wire with the tan stripe. And then the last thing we need to find is our running lights, and that appears to be the black wire with the yellow stripe. Then on our harness here, we are just going to go ahead and make our connections to the wires that we just found. The yellow wire is going to be our left-turn signal wire. The white is, again, going to be the ground, which we want to use that common grounding point right over here. The brown wire was our running-light feed, the red wire was our brake feed, and our green wire is our right-turn feed. more
