Today we are going to cover part number 4843DAT from Master Lock. This is our hitch alignment and vehicle back up camera. This is a very simple system to install on your vehicle. It takes no time to install. First off we will cover the components of it. Starting back here. This is one of the mounts. This will actually mount the monitor to the windshield of your truck. It also has a neat little clip that goes into the vents on your vehicle if you want to mount it there temporarily. And this is the power supply chord and this plugs into your 12 volt power supply and plugs into the side of the camera. And on the back part, the actual camera itself is this unit right here. This actually will mount to the back of your vehicle on the trunk more

Today we are going to be installing the rear view camera system part number HM60195VA on a 2004 Toyota Highlander. Our back up camera has three basic components to it. We have got the license plate mount which has both the backup camera and the two backup sensors built into it as well. We have got the monitor which we are going to mount inside the dash area. We are actually going to tap these wires into the behind the tail light assembly. The red wire will mount into the reverse lead, the black wire is a ground, you will tap that into a ground wire. Okay, we are inside the vehicle here and taking a look at the dashboard we are going to kind of point out a couple of common areas where we can mount our monitor. See again inside the kit there is 3M double sided tape. We are going to tape that to the bottom here. more

Today we are going to be installing the backup camera from Peak Performance Products, and it is model number PK015737. The first thing we are going to do is to find a suitable mounting point for the mounting bracket that holds the monitor. You can typically mount it to your windshield here, but you want to make sure you put it in a location where it is not going to interfere with your sight line while you are driving. I am actually going to put it down below here and from there we can just kind of mount the monitor onto the bracket, and that snaps into place. Go ahead and plug the power source into the camera. You can see there is a little port here right on the side that that will plug into. And then the other end has a standard 12 volt cigarette lighter plug. On this particular vehicle it has actually got two, a cigarette lighter and then we have a 12 volt power source. So we can go ahead and plug into there. I am going to go ahead and hide the wires a little bit, from the camera over to the power source. Okay, a suitable routing point for the wires would be down the threshold here, along the door frame. And I am going to just kind of hide the wires back up and behind there. Okay, with the wire pulled through over here, hidden beneath the dashboard over there, I am going to pull this panel portion away, and again that further hides the wire for me. Makes a cleaner appearance. Then we just want to go ahead and plug that into our 12 volt power source. more

Today we are going to show you part number 04928 from Swift Hitch, the trailer hitch aligner and portable wireless camera system. As you can see, it comes in 2 different pieces here. One camera goes in the back of your vehicle and the other camera is a hand held device that you carry in the cab of your truck while you back up to your trailer. We will show you a couple of nice feature about this camera system. First off, it has a 1 button operation here which basically turns it on, hold it down until the screen comes on. Then to turn it off, simply hold the button down again until it goes off. Also that is the same thing with the camera itself. It has a simple on and off button to operate it. Both of these devices have their own internal batteries. The kit does come complete with charger form so you can charge them both at the same time. The screen it self is 2 and a half inches wide and is a full color screen also. more

The Swift Hitch is a portable wireless camera system that provides a quick hitch for any trailer, camper, or snowplow. It comes with a magnetic camera which mounts to your tailgate. A simple on and off switch is located on both the camera and the hand held monitor. Once you get your Swift Hitch camera installed on the tailgate, take a moment to align your hitch ball on the view screen at the bottom towards the center. That way, it will give you maximum field of view to sneak up on the hitch ball. Once you get your camera straight and away, you can view your hitch ball backing up from the comfort of your vehicle, on the LCD screen to achieve an easy and simple hitch up every time. With the help of the camera, you can sneak up on the ball basically on the first try. Once you get pretty much cover on top of the ball, you can go ahead and start lowering your jack and get your trailer hooked up. more

Well begin our install by actually mounting the camera on the lower bolts of the license plate. This does reside on top of the license plate. There is one other note, this comes with spacers that allow you to tilt this up or down depending on your vehicle. Next you need to route this wire up along the edge here, and up to the hinge point and back down to the tail light. What were going to do first is wrap this wire around the bottom. We measured and theres plenty of room between the hatch and the tailgate. What were going to do is slice a little hole here to run the wire through so its not sticking between the grommet. Now well push this wire into the groove and work our way up towards the hinge. This will come off first which weve loosened up. Now well take off this unit and we trace our wire back down through here. more

Today were going to show you the operation of this unique device. Basically you have a monitor that you see here. Theres a camera that gets installed on the license plate on the back of the vehicle. Well go through the controls and show you how it works. Basically you want to have the unit turned on first through this button right here. You can see you have it on with the red light. To activate the camera when your backing up you simply put it in reverse. Now it has to adjust the contrast as it is a bright day. As you can see we have a couple of trailers behind us. Also whats nice about these controls is the other buttons will go through say for instance you cant mount the monitor in the situation that we have here. If you need to mount it upside down or to the left or right or a vertical fashion, you can rotate the picture as you need it with this button here. more
