Today on this 2005 Volkswagen Jetta TDI we are going to install part number V58780 from Valley. We will start with what components need to come down first. This plastic shield right here gets taken off and stays off. Next we will go ahead and remove these two main screws underneath the fascia. Next we will undo two bolts that will lower the exhaust. Next thing we are going to do is remove this bolt above the exhaust tube, this is actually one of the mounting points for the hitch right here. more

Today we are going to be installing Hidden Hitch part number 60963 on a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta. The first thing we want to do is to go ahead and remove the spare tire and the Styrofoam spacer here from the trunk area. We will be drilling a hole through the trunk well as an attaching point for the trailer hitch. OK, with the spare tire out, the hole that we are will be drilling in the spare tire well is actually over in this area here. We also are going to be drilling two holes up onto this upper surface here as well. We will put the hitch up into place and get it aligned, and then we will drill our holes out from underneath. Over here on the drivers side, we are going to need to go ahead and remove the exhaust from its rear-most hanger. To do that, we just can remove two bolts that are here, connected to the bottom of the frame. more

Today we are going to be installing hitch part number 11070 from Curt on a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta. We are underneath the vehicle now and we are going to go ahead and point out the mounting locations for the trailer hitch. Here on the passengers side, you can see we have got a tow loop. And we have got one hole here, and on some models you will have the second hole here as well. We are going to use these as two attaching points for the hitch on the passengers side. And then, over here on the drivers side, we are going to be drilling four holes into the side of the spare tire well. So the first thing you want to do is to remove any components that you may have in the spare tire well. And then we will come back down here, and we will put the hitch up over the passengers side and then drill our holes. Over here on the drivers side, before we get going I am going to go ahead and lower the exhaust down to gain more room to drill my holes in the side of the trunk well. You can see we have got one large hanger here. We just need to take this stud off of the rubber portion. To do this, I am going to use a little spray lubricant, like a WD-40. And I am also going to lower the one here at the forward side by doing the same thing. more

Today we are going to install part number 13220 from Curt. We are going to install this hitch on a 2007 Volkswagen Touareg. The first step involved is actually removing the tail lights. There are two screws on each side of the tail light. We will undo those and then take off the tail lights. We have got the light unbolted, and then we will go ahead and just disconnect it from the vehicle for now and put it in a safe spot. And then go ahead and repeat it for the other side. All right, the next thing we need to do is go ahead and take off the bumper cover. That is going to be from here on down. We will start behind the tail light and then work our way behind the fender well and go on from there. And then go ahead and do the same thing on the other tail light. more

Today we are going to be installing part number 24748 on a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta. The first thing we want to do is to go ahead and remove the spare tire out of the spare tire well because there are going to be two holes that we are going to drill in there. OK, looking under the vehicle now, we are going to locate the area where we actually are going to be installing the hitch. There is an existing hole here on the back side of the tow loop that is going to be one of the mounting points. We actually are going to hold the hitch up into position using the bolt and the nut into this hole location and then kind of straighten the hitch out and mark all the other holes, because all the other holes are going to have to be drilled out. more
