Today on this 2010 Toyota Camry we will be installing Draw-Tite hitch part number 36416. This installation will also apply to Hidden Hitch part number 90152. Okay in preparation for our hitch install we first want to remove the spare tire out of the spare tire well here in the trunk. We will be later on drilling two holes through the spare tire well at attaching points. Now we will go under the vehicle and go ahead and lower the exhaust down as well. To remove the vehicle exhaust we want to remove the exhaust from the three rear most rubber hangers. We have got two here at the very end of the vehicle right near the exhaust and then one here at the forward side of the muffler. You can go ahead and just unbolt these hangers from the frame as opposed to having to removing them off of the rubber. more

Today on this 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, we are going to install part number V81310 from Valley. The first step we need to do is go ahead and get the frame ready to install the hitch. That means we have got to take down this tie down bracket here and take out the little plugs that cover up the holes. The hitch is going to install at this bolt hole and these two bolt holes here that we just uncovered. Looking at the driver side, it is going to use these three existing holes also. But since these are exposed to the elements, we are going to take some time out to clean out the threads so we can run the bolts in and out. more

Today on this 2009 Toyota Prius, we are going to install part number 11469 from Curt. Okay looking up on our driver side of the vehicle, you see the tow hook right here. The hitch will actually replace where the tow hook is. On the passenger side of the vehicle we have got to take down this exhaust bracket right here and then the hitch will go in place and the exhaust bracket will go back on top of the hitch. Okay first we will start off by taking down the tie down bracket. Okay, we got that out of the way, now go on over to the passenger side and take down the exhaust bracket. more

Today we are going to be installing Hidden Hitch part number 60898 on a 2009 Toyota Matrix. This installation will also apply for Draw-Tite part number 24812. Okay we are underneath the vehicle and we are looking at the driver-side frame rail here. As you can see at the bottom we have got three existing weld nuts. Those are going to provide our three attaching points for the trailer hitch. That is going to be the same over on the passenger side. It may be necessary to clean the weld nuts out prior to putting the hitch up into position on some models that have seen a winter or two where there might have been some road grime or corrosion built up. more

Today we are going to be installing Curt hitch part number 13534 on a 2009 Toyota Highlander. We are underneath the vehicle, and we have gone ahead and lowered the spare tire out of the way. It is not necessary to do this, but it will ease in the installation of the hitch. The trailer hitch is going to mount to both frame rails, but to first gain access to those frame rails we are going to need to remove the underneath panels that are both on the drivers and passengers side, as well. To do that, there are multiple fasteners that we are going to need to remove. There are two push pins: one here, on the outboard side, and one here, at the bottom of the bumper. And there are multiple10-mm/Phillips-head screws, as well. You have got one here, one here, two here on the inboard side - and I believe that is it. more

Today we are going to install part number 75527 from Draw-Tite, and we are going to install this 2-inch receiver hitch on a 2007 Toyota Tundra. Okay, the hitch is going to mount up in this spot right here, where you see this L-shape bracket. There are four bolts going through here. All these bolts come out, and then the bracket comes off. And then also the hitch will install on the bumper bracket below, in the holes down here. And it is going to be identical on the passengers side and the drivers side. Okay, we have got that bracket off go ahead and do the same thing to the other side. more

Today we are going to be installing Draw-Tite hitch part number 24808 on a 2006 Toyota Prius. This application will also apply for Hidden Hitch part number 60894. We are underneath the vehicle, and we are looking at the passengers side frame rail. As you see here at the end, we have got a tow hook with two bolts that are holding it in. We are going to remove both the tow hook and the bolts. And we are going to use those weld nuts as the attaching point for the trailer hitch. Over here on the drivers side, we are going to be doing the same thing, but we need to remove the bolts and the tow hook. more

You can see we have got two existing weld nuts here at the end of the frame. These are going to provide the two rear-most attaching points for the trailer hitch. And then we have got a sticker here which are going to need to remove. It will be one, two and three - will be our three weld nuts here. more

We are looking at the passengers side frame rail, and you can see at the end here we have got two existing weld nuts. Those are going to provide the attaching points for the trailer hitch on the frame. We are going to be using the same weld nuts on the drivers side. There are also going to be two attaching points here at the bumper. You can see at the bottom we have got three existing holes. We are actually going to be taking the part of the cover off here, the step bumper, and ping bolts down through there, where we are going to attach it to the hitch. more

Today we are going to be installing Draw-Tite hitch part number 24814 on a 2008 Toyota Corolla. Underneath the vehicle, we are going to go ahead and point out the mounting locations for the trailer hitch. Here on the passengers side, you can see we have got the exhaust right here. Just rearward of that we have got two existing weld nuts - one here, and one here. Those are going to provide the two attaching points for the trailer hitch here on the passengers side. And then here on the drivers side we are going to be using the same two weld nuts - this one here, and this one here. So, before we get started, we want to make sure we thoroughly clean out the weld nuts to make sure that we can get the bolts in easily. To do that, we are going to take a spray lubricant, like a WD-40, soak the weld nuts, and then we just take a wire brush and just run that in there a few times. That will help release any road grime or rust that may be in there. We want to do that for all four of the weld nuts. more

We are underneath the vehicle now and we are going to go ahead and point out the mounting location for the trailer hitch. We are looking at the passengers side frame rail, and you can see first thing that the exhaust is right here, in the way. So the first thing you want to do is to go ahead and remove the exhaust from the rubber hanger here. If you look up at the frame rail, you can see that there are three existing weld nuts in the frame. We are going to use those as the three attaching points for the trailer hitch. And that is going to be the same on both sides of the vehicle. As you can see, some of these exposed weld nuts might have a considerable amount of corrosion in them. If that is the case, you want to go ahead and spray them down with some sort of lubricant like a WD-40, and maybe get a wire brush in there to clean them out really well before you get started. With all the weld nuts cleaned out, we are going to go ahead and put the hitch up into position. more

Today we are going to be installing Draw-Tite hitch part number 36416 on a 2009 Toyota Camry. This hitch installation will also apply for Hidden Hitch part number 90152. OK, the first thing we want to do is to open up the trunk. And we need to remove our spare tire, because we will be drilling some holes through the spare tire well. As you can see here on the passengers side, we are going to need to actually lower the exhaust. You want to go ahead and use a strap or something to hold the exhaust up, because once you remove the final hanger, it will considerably. We are also going to go to the forward side of the exhaust. We need to remove the exhaust off the rubber hangers here, and here as well. You can see we have a reinforcing bracket that we are going to need to remove. And with the exhaust lowered and the brackets removed, we can go ahead and point out the mounting location for the trailer hitch. We have got two weld nuts here in this bumper flange that we are going to go ahead and use as two of the attaching points on each side. Once we get the hitch mounted into these weld nuts, there are two tabs that are going to be going into the spare tire well - which, we are are going to use the hitch as a template and drill holes through there. Then next, we want to go ahead and remove the two fascia clips here at the bottom of the bumper. When we mount the hitch, it will allow the cross tube to go up and behind the bumper. more

Today we are going to be installing Curt hitch part number 12343 on a 2009 Toyota Camry. We are underneath the vehicle now, and I am going to go ahead and point out the mounting location for the trailer hitch before we get started. As you can see here on the passengers side, we have got the main exhaust. There are three bolts here at the bottom of the frame holding the exhaust bracket on. We are going to to need to remove those, and the hitch is actually going to go up in that same mounting location, using those same three holes. It is also going to use the weld nut here on the vertical flange here, nearest the bumper. You can see we have a reinforcing bracket that we are going to need to remove there are three bolts to take that off. The attaching points, again, on the drivers side, we are going to be using this same vertical flange. We are going to use this existing weld nut, and this one as well. This one you can see is covered by tape, so we are going to need to remove that first. And then this tab on the outboard side of the frame as well. And again, I am just cutting out the sticker to expose the weld nut and the frame. Some of these exposed weld nuts might have a considerable amount of corrosion in them. If that is the case, you want to go ahead and spray them down with some sort of lubricant, and maybe get a wire brush in there to clean them out really well before you get started. more

Today we are going to be installing Hidden Hitch part number 87409 on a 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser. This installation also applies to Draw-Tite part number 75095. We are underneath the vehicle now and we are going to go ahead and point out the location for the mounting of the hitch. As you can see on the drivers side frame rail, we have got a tow hook and a tie-down bracket here that are held on with two bolts. Those bolts need to come down, and these two items are going to be removed. These will provide the two rearmost attaching points for the hitch on the drivers side. And there is also a weld nut a little bit further up on the frame, and that will provide the forwardmost attaching point. And then over here on the passengers side, again we have a tie-down bracket that is going to need to be taken down - removed with these two bolts, and those will provide two of the attaching points for the hitch here on the passengers side. The third attaching point is actually a little bit inboard. And the third attaching point is here on the inboard side in this crossmember, just a little bit inboard of the exhaust, it would be this hole here. We are actually going to fish a carriage bolt down through this opening here at the back side. So, in order to actually gain access to this, we are going to need to remove this rear fascia support as well. more

Today we are going to install part number 12339 from Curt, and we are going to install this on a 2003 Toyota Camry. Before we begin our install, we will show you exactly where the hitch will mount up on the vehicle. First off, on the passengers side, it will mount up on these three bolts right here. We have taken these three bolts - one, two, three - and those will be replaced with the bolts that came with the hitch. Moving over to the drivers side, there will be couple of different varieties, depending on the vehicle you have. They will always have these two holes right here. On some varieties, there will be no holes here or maybe two existing holes. Or, in this case, there is actually one hole underneath the sticker right here. You will not actually know until you look underneath the vehicle. And there is a threaded bolt hole. So, in this case, we will only be using these three holes. more

Today we are going to install part number 36336 from Draw-Tite on an 2005 Toyota Camry. The first thing we will to show you is where the hitch mounts on the frame. And the hitch will mount on the frame here using these two bolt holes for sure. However, on some models there may be no more bolt holes, and there might be an extra one here. In this case, see? There is like a black sticker covering the hole. We will check it out and see if this is a threaded hole. If so, we can actually use that. If your vehicle does not have this threaded hole here, then you just drill out two holes using the hitch as a template and then put a U-bolt inside. We will see what we have got here. And it looks like this is a threaded hole. So on this side we will be using three attaching points. On the passengers side, with the exhaust here, we have to take down these two bolts, and then the hitch goes in this place. And then the exhaust bracket actually bolts on top of the hitch. more

Today we are going to install part number 75125 on an 2001 Toyota Rav4. To give you an idea where this hitch installs, basically it installs in the same place where this tie-down bracket is. You take off the tie-down bracket and the screws and the hitch goes up in its place with new hardware. Same thing on both sides. As you can see, we took out the bolts and it is pretty well rusted. So even though the threads are okay and everything, so it might be a good idea to just spray them down with some WD-40 or something just to clean out a little bit more when you put the new bolts in. more

Today we are going to install part number 87638 from Hidden Hitch. And we are going to be installing this on a 1998 Toyota Sienna mini van. And this also applies for part number 75120 from Draw-Tite. To begin our install, we need to do a couple things. We need to lower the exhaust to help get it out of the way. Sometimes, you can sneak it between the bumper and tail pipe, but just to give you a little bit of extra working room, we will go ahead and lower it out of the way. And then also these tie-down hooks for shipping, these come off and stay off. And we will begin by removing these. Alright, at this point we can go ahead and install the hitch with the fasteners towards the end of the vehicle. And it is a good idea to have an extra set of hands with this one it is a little on the wide side. We will just temporarily install it with the bolts. more

But on the driver side, there is a tie down bracket that we have to take off. This tie down bracket will have to come off and the hitch will use this hole where this bolt is existing and this existing weld nut right here. We will begin by taking this bracket off. We will just install the bolts just to get everything started. At this point we can already start installing the hitch. It is kind of on the heavy side, so it might be a good idea to get a extra set of hands to get it in there. more

Today we are going to install part number 11468 from Curt and we are installing this on a 2007 Toyota Prius. First thing we need to do is take down this shield right here. This will come off and the hitch will go in the place where this tie down hook is. Once we take this shield off we can unbolt this hook and there is another hook on the passenger side that we need to take off also. The first thing we need to do is take down this shield here for now. We will end up trimming it when we put the hitch back up. Alright, next we will want to take down the tie down bracket. Now go do the same thing for the other side. Next we can go ahead and install the hitch onto the vehicle and you can actually put the passenger side over the exhaust and let you help hold it up while you do the driver side first. Once you have the hitch held up by a couple bolts, it is a good idea to go ahead and snug down the bolts to help you line up the hitch with the rest of the holes. Alright once you get your holes lined up, you will have to move around the hitch a little bit and get your last bolt on this side started. Go ahead and snug it up and then go back and do the remaining one on the driver side. more

Today we are going to do a hitch install on a 2008 Toyota Highlander we are going to be using the Valley part number of V81312. First thing we need to do is take off a few plastic components and the tow hooks, this cover here will be taken off, this tow hook will be taken off, and there are the same things on the driver side. Joe uses a screw driver and a socket wrench to remove existing bolts that hold the plastic shields in place Now I have access to take off the bracket, and we will do one on this side and one on the other side. Next what we have to do is lower the exhaust here a little bit, we will take off this rubber hanger and that way we get more flexibility and room to fit the hitch in. With this model here, they actually have these protectors to protect the treads, rather handy when you install a hitch. more

At this point we can install the hitch on the vehicle, youll have to stick it in between the frame and suspension components so its good to have an extra set of hands to do this with. Sometimes with the exhaust, some sit higher than others, you may want to lower it a bit or in this case we may want to take the bolts out to fish the hitch in and then well put it back in. Now we install our bolts going towards the front of the vehicle. Well let the back ones loose of course so we can wiggle it around and set it where we need it. Now well move on to the other side. We just need to get it started and then we torque it down. Now well go to this rear bolt here and install our washer. Now well repeat for the other side. Now we can snug up the bolts and make sure the hitch sits the way we want it, then well give them their final torque. Last but not least well tighten the bolts that hold the brackets to the frame. There you have it for part number 87579 on our 2000 Toyota Tacoma more

Today we are installing hitch number V81590 on a 1998 Toyota Tacoma pickup. Step one is to remove the bolts that are holding the arm on the frame here. This will allow us easier access up into the frame. For the hitch installation we will have to remove the bumper brackets from the vehicle. That will require us to remove these 2 bolts here. Then there are 2 more that are attaching the bumper brackets. In the instructions they say to remove these 2 bolts and loosen the other two that are attaching the bumper. We are going to just go ahead and remove those bolts it makes it just a little easier to get the hitch brackets into place. When removing the bumper make sure you disconnect the license plate lights otherwise you will rip the wires more
