Trailer Hitch Installation - 2002 Saturn L Series - Video

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2002 Saturn L Series

Today on this 2002 Saturn L Series we are going to install part number 24685 from Draw-Tite. This is also going to apply to part number 60926 from Hidden Hitch. This hitch is going to attach to the vehicle by using the bumper structure itself and also the trunk pan. In this instance we are going to hold the hitch up to give you a better idea of where everything lines up. There are two dimples in the bumper structure that the hitch is going to use and in the trunk pan there will be two knock outs that we have to remove and the hitch will go in its place. Now that we know where the hitch goes our first step involves removing the spare tire so you can knock these holes out and not damage anything else inside there. We are going to use a hammer and chisel to knock them out. You can peel the tape off the inside too. There is a variety of ways to do it. But to get it from the bottom to get it started then you can peel it from the top too. 01:03 more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Saturn Outlook

Today on this 2007 Saturn Outlook we are going to install part number 75528 from Draw-Tite. This will also apply to part number 87435 from Hidden Hitch. As showing here the hitch is already installed on the vehicle. From the top of the receiver tube down to the ground is going to be 18-3/ 4 inches. From the center of the hitch pin out to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be about 4-1/ 2 inches. Next we are going to show you how it got there. The first thing we need to do is remove the rear fascia door that is basically at the bottom of the vehicle bumper cover. The next thing after that we will lower the exhaust. There are two rubber hangers on each side of the exhaust pipes. 00:38 more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2004 Saturn Vue - Video

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2004 Saturn Vue

Today on this 2004 Saturn Vue we are going to install part number 13591 from Curt. We are looking at the passenger side of the frame. These are two threaded openings that we will use to attach the hitch on the vertical surface of the frame here. This is going to be identical on both sides of the vehicle. We will move to the bumper structure and we will show you the two openings here and here. Our next step is to inspect the threads on the frame of the vehicle itself. What we are going to do is spray it down with some lubricant. In this case we are going to use a tube cleaner about 1/ 2 inch diameter and just use that to clean out the threads with. The tube brush we are using is part number 814092. When you have it good and cleaned out, run your bolt in until you can get it started by hand and probably turn it with a wrench and it should be okay. 00:56 more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Saturn Ion

Today on this 2006 Saturn Ion we are going to install part number 24734 from Draw-Tite. This also applies to part number 60989 from Hidden Hitch. Looking up at the passenger side of the vehicle the hitch is going to mount to the frame through this area right here. There are no existing holes for the hitch to attach to so we will end up drilling those out, using the hitch as a template. Now looking at the drivers side, the hitch will mount the same way as the passenger side, we will have to drill some holes in the frame to mount it up. more
