Today on this 2008 Chrysler Aspen, we are going to install part number V82280 from Valley. All right, first we will go ahead and show you where the hitch mounts up to the frame of the vehicle. It actually mounts on the side of the frame using the existing bolt holes that are there. Right now there are bumper bolts that are going through the frame and the bumper bracket. Those will get replaced by the bolts that come with the hitch. What we want to do is go ahead and loosen these bolts up and replace the bolts one at a time because if we take out all of the bolts at one time, the bumper is going to come down on us. So what we are going to do is replace one bolt at a time. On this back bolt here, this is one of two that actually stays with the vehicle. more

Today on a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country we are going to install part number 87717 from Hidden Hitch. First off we will show you where the hitch actually mounts up on the frame. It is going to mount up using existing bolts in the frame on one part and some existing holes further back in the frame. This is actually going to be identical on both sides of the vehicle. And also before you do your install when you take this bolt out spray it down with WD-40 or some kind of penetrate because over the years bolts inside here will get rusted shut and it is very easy to break the bolts. more

Today we are going to be installing Valley hitch part number V82683 on a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country. You can see underneath here we have got three existing bolts here on the bottom of the frame. These are going to provide the three attaching points for the trailer hitch. We are going to need to remove all three of those bolts, and we will actually be reusing those for the hitch attachment. Over here on the passengers side, we will be using the same three attaching points. The bolts are already in the frame. As you can see, we have got the exhaust that is in the way, so we are going to need to lower that first before we can get started. We have got a hanger right here on the outboard side of the frame. We are going to be removing the exhaust from that hanger. That should give us enough clearance to go ahead and get the hitch up. To get the exhaust off of its hanger, we will have to go ahead and spray it down with a lubricant, like a WD-40. And you can see as I pull away from the exhaust now I should have enough room to get the bolts out of the frame. As you can see here, with the exhaust pulled out of the way, we have got the AC lines running in between the two forward-most bolts. We want to make sure not to pinch those when we put the hitch up into position. There is a cutout in the hitch itself to ensure that that does not happen. more

Today we are going to be installing Hidden Hitch part number 87451 on a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country. OK, we are underneath the vehicle and we are looking at the passengers side frame rail. As you can see, the exhaust is in the way of right where we are going to need to get the hitch up into position, so the first thing we are going to need to do is go ahead and lower it down. To do that, we are going to take it off of its main hanger, which is right here. And now, with the exhaust down, I can kind of pull it out of the way. You can see here above the exhaust here we have got one, two existing bolts. We are going to remove those and actually reuse those for the installation. Looking at the drivers side, we are actually going to be using three attaching points. And again, the bolts for those are already in the frame: here, here and here. more

Today we are going to install part number 36455, a Draw-Tite Class II receiver hitch, on a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country. This hitch is going to attach to the frame by using these bolts right here. So we will take these bolts out and they will be reused in the installation of the hitch. As you can see, on the passengers side the exhaust is blocking our access to these bolts. So we will need to get that out of the way. This is going to be the first of two exhaust hangers we are going to take down we will start taking this one off first. OK, we have got our exhaust down and out of the way. We actually put a little strap on it just to hold it out of the way so it is a little easier to see what is going on. When we undo the flash bolt right here, this is actually connected to a bracket inside the frame for the bumper, so this actual part of the bumper here - it is actually going to - when we let go of this bolt the bracket is going to tilt up inside the frame. So you want to take care when you take out the bolt to be careful you do not move the bracket around too much. more

Today we are going to be installing Valley hitch part number V81811 on a 2007 Chrysler 300. We are underneath the vehicle now. The first thing we are going to need to do is to go ahead and lower the exhaust down. This particular model has an aftermarket exhaust, so it is a little bit different than a standard model would be. The first thing you want to do before you remove the exhaust down is to go ahead and support the catalytic converter. You can see we have got two hangers here: one at the rear, and one at the forward side. You are going to need to go ahead and take the bolts out of the frame there to lower that down. All right, with the bolt removed, I am going to kind of pull the exhaust down just a little bit. And you can see there is a weld nut here. That is going to provide the rearmost attaching point for the trailer hitch. You can also see in the forward side we have got two existing holes. We are going to use those as the forwardmost attaching point. You will also note that on the exhaust hanger here there is a little tab that held the hanger in place here in that indentation in the frame. That is also going to need to be ground off before we actually put the hitch up back into position. Again, we are going to be using the existing weld nut here at the rear of the frame. There is also a weld nut here at the forward side, and then just a hole at the third mounting location. more

Today we are going to be installing hitch part number 87432 from Hidden Hitch on a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. And this installation will also apply to Draw-Tite part number 75522. Looking underneath the vehicle, we are going to go ahead and point out the attaching points for the trailer hitch. As you can see, we have got the exhaust here in the way of accessing the frame rail, so the first step is going to be to lower the exhaust. And on models with dual exhausts, you are going to want to do it on both sides. Before you do lower the exhaust off of the rubber hangers, you are going to want to support the main cross tube of the exhaust, because once you remove the muffler the exhaust will want to fall down. If we do not support it, it will damage the exhaust system. I am just going to use a basic, old tow strap up here. Another way to lower the exhaust down, other than removing the muffler off of its hangers, would be to just go ahead and unbolt the bracket that is holding up both of the hangers as well - which is what I am going to do. more

Today we are going to be installing hitch part number 36170 from Draw-Tite on a 1997 Chrysler Concorde. The instructions do not state this, but the first thing I am going to do is actually to lower the exhaust off the two hangers. There is one here at the rear and one a little bit more forward. We are going to go ahead and lower the exhaust off those two. It is going to give us a little bit more working room. To lower the exhaust I am going to go ahead and just lower the two bolts on each hanger. And now that I have got the exhaust lowered, I am going to remove the inboard side endcap bolt here on the end of the frame rail. What we are going to do is actually replace that with a new bolt and reverse it and turn where the head is on this side, as opposed to the nut. That is going to give us a little more room when we go to put the hitch up into place and drill our holes. And in that bolts place, we are going to go ahead and put the new 3/8 bolt with a conical-tooth washer. And we want to make sure the head of the bolt is on the forward side of the frame. That is going to give us extra room when we go to drill our holes later. And we are going to reuse the existing nut that was already in place there, and then go ahead and tighten that down. And then here on the passengers side, we are going to remove both the inboard and outboard side ones. Those are actually going to provide attaching points for the trailer hitch. more

Today we are going to be installing hitch part number 87717 on a 2007 Chrysler Town and County without Stow-and-Go seating. We are underneath the vehicle now, looking at the drivers side frame rail, and we are going to go ahead and point out the mounting locations for the trailer hitch. The first thing we want to do is remove this rearmost bolt that is going to provide the rearmost attaching point for the hitch. We are also going to use a carriage bolt and block, and it down through this hole here, making for the second attaching point. And then this route hole down here, forward in the frame, that will be the third attaching point. And again, we will be ping a carriage bolt and a block into the frame for that position. So the first thing we want to do is to go ahead and remove the rearmost bolt on both sides of the frame. more

Today we are going to be installing part number 87451 on a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country. We are over here on the drivers side frame rail, and there are three attaching points: one there, one there, one there. So we are going to need to remove all three of these bolts. All the hardware for the hitch is actually already in the frame of the vehicle so there is going to be no bolt kit that comes with the hitch. Again, it is this one, this one, and this one that need to be removed. And if we go over here to the passengers side, we are going to have to go ahead and take the exhaust off the hanger to access the passengers side bolts. You can kind of see there is one toward the rear here near the bumper, and then one a little bit more forward, as well. We need to remove those bolts. more

Today we are going to install part number 60818 from Hidden Hitch on our 2006 Chrysler PT cruiser. This install also applies to part number 24759 from Draw Tite. Alright, the hitch will attach where this tow hook is. This tow hook will be removed and kept off. The hitch will be bolt into place right here and also there will be a part in the frame up a little further around this area that we will have to drill out for access of a carriage bolt. It is basically the same thing on both sides. On the driver side we are going to have to lower the muffler to get to the access there. Also we took down the spare tire for now. Theoretically you should not have to take it down but it makes it just a little bit easier to put the hitch back up against the bumper and then put the spare tire up when you are done. First of all, remove the exhaust hangers. more

Today we are going to install part number 13465 from Curt. We are going to install this on a 2007 Chrysler 300c. To begin our install, we have to lower our exhaust out of the way. We actually have to lower it down pretty good, a pretty far distance. Basically we are going to remove this hanger here, we are going to unbolt it here. We will unbolt this hanger also. Now on the back here, we will need to undo this rubber hanger here too. This whole exhaust system will be resting basically on this point right here. So it may be a good idea to throw a strap around the exhaust for safety purposes to it keep it from really falling down. It looks like we have plenty of clearance to do our work here so we do not have to undo that last strap, our last hanger, so we should be in good shape. more

Today we are going to install part number 87432 from Hidden Hitch. We will be installing this class 3 receiver on a 2003 Chrysler Pacifica. This also will apply to part number 75522 from Draw Tite. To begin our install we actually took down our spare tire. Which is optional but it makes things easier in the long run. Basically what we are going to do here is take out this one bolt here. That should be held up here. And hardware will be pulled through this oval hole here and through the small square hole. 2 more bolts will be coming from the inside out here. It will be the same thing on both sides. Now on the passenger side obviously your exhaust will be in the way so we are going to want to lower it. We lower it by removing the rubber hangers and then getting the exhaust out of the way for more working room. It is also a good idea to use a strap to keep the exhaust from going down all the way. more

First step is to lower the exhaust, some models have dual exhaust this particular model has a single. Theres actually four hangers were going to have to lower to get the exhaust down. Two here, one in the front and one in the rear. Then there are two forward most ones. There is one screw holding each hanger in the rear here, so we can just take out those bolts to lower it. Before you lower the forward most exhaust mounts make sure you support the exhaust. When you remove these the exhaust will fall down. Were using a strap here to hold it tight. Pull the forward most ones off the hangers. more

Today we are going to install part number 87719 from Hidden Hitch. On our 2005 Chrysler Town and Country. This also applies to part number from Draw Tite 75305. Our first step to install is to remove a few bolts. Starting with these 3 bolts in the shackle. You take out the 2 bolts on the outside and then finally the center bolt. Then behind here the first bolt behind it. We need to take this bolt out of there as well. All of this hardware will be reused. The next step is to go ahead and install the hitch. This is a good point to get a second pair of hands. You will have to wiggle it within the hitch itself then bring it back to the rear of the vehicle. We have the hitch hung by one bolt on each side to hold it up. Next we will snug that bolt down and watch the hitch wrap around that center bolt. Sometimes it helps to snug that bolt down and it pops around the center bolt. more
