Magnaflow Exhuast Installation - 2006 Ford F150 - Video

Magnaflow Exhuast Installation - 2006 Ford F150

Today we are going to install part number 16612 from Magnaflow performance exhaust. This is a catalytic converter on back of the exhaust system placement for the stock exhaust. Our first step is to go ahead and look over into the original exhaust system. Make sure you can get the bolts loosened to make the connections up front. Then you will want to get yourself an idea on how to take off the exhaust. What you want to do is see how the rods go into the hangers here. It looks like the all point ends on all of them are towards the front. So we want to take them off and shove them towards the axle. And since the rest of this pipe is going out back, it might be a good idea to cut this in half. So you can take this pipe off first and push it backwards. Then have room to pull the exhaust muffler here backwards off the extension pipe coming off of the catalytic converter. That way we can take pieces off a lot easier then with just wrestling with one hole piece. It is a good idea to go ahead and spray down anything rusted so that we can get it apart a little easier. more

Edge Evolution Performance Module Installation - 2002 Ford Powerstroke - Video

Edge Evolution Performance Module Installation - 2002 Ford Powerstroke

This is the installation of the Edge Evolution power module for the Ford Powerstroke 7.3 liter. This will fit the 1999 through 2003, this one is being installed on the 2002 model. The first step in installing this is to put a temperature probe into the exhaust manifold. We have to drill out the hole, tap it, install the threads, and then install the probe. Now we will go ahead and install the cable onto the port now that the hole we drilled is tapped out. We run this up through the firewall and back inside so we can make our connections inside the vehicle. After running the cable up through the vehicle we will route it through the firewall. The next step is to remove the fuse panel cover, to locate the OBDII port. Next we plug the OBDII cable into the OBDII port and route the cable into place. Now we route the other end of the cable out through the door sill, take the weather stripping and pull that back to expose the port and route it up through here. To secure the pod, locate the metal brackets and the pod, note that the brackets are numbered and should be placed in the appropriate, numbered locations inside the pod. Use the permanent, double sided tape to secure the brackets inside the pod. Make sure that the numbers match up. The next step is to clean the pod mounting location. Once you have secured the velco and double checked the location, you can secure the pod with the velcro. When the mounting bracket is secured in place just plug the cable into the back of the monitor and plug the cable coming through the firewall into the port. more
