Today we are going to show you part number DT32005 from Diversi-Tech. This is a hitch lock that will fit 1-1/4 or 2-inch trailer hitches. The construction of this lock is chrome-plated steel with a high-strength ball interlock design that prevents false locking. It comes with a watertight dust cap that helps prevent corrosion and dust getting inside the lock. And the key only requires a quarter-turn to unlock and lock. We will go ahead and show you how it works on a typical application. more

Today we are going to show you part number 63232, the anti-rattle hitch pin and lock for 2 inch receiver hitches. Alright, this lock pin assemble and anti-rattle device is designed for only use with 2 inch receiver hitches and also will go with ball mounts that are hollow. This will not work with solid ball mount shanks; hollow ball mount. What we need to do is take our lock apart. This is the way it comes shipped to you. Take your key, turn it, it comes right apart. Take your spring and lock apart, it just unthreads. That comes apart like so. This tube also has to come out. You will not need that for now. And when you are in luck you should have this block and this spring. What happens is, this block and spring is inserted on the inside of this hitch here. So what happens when you thread the bolt through, it pulls it to one side so it will not go anywhere. more

To use this lock is pretty simple, go ahead and flip open the rubber cap and get your key. You can unscrew it this way or you can hold the key and twist the other side and it comes apart. That is all there is to it. Now we will go ahead and show you how it gets installed on to a 1 1/4 inch receiver hitch. Now that we have our hitch here, it is a matter of reversing the procedure. Hold the key and just twist the other half. Now back the key up about a quarter turn, then that is that and it cannot come apart. That is part # 40106, the stainless steel hitch lock for 1 1/4 inch receivers. more

This J-Pin assembly is basically an anti-sway device and also a device to lock down your ball mount for security purposes. Well take it apart and show you how it works. You put the key on there and give it a turn and it pops out and comes apart like so. Then you take this nut which comes off also, and this gets installed. As you can see, it goes through the hitch pin hole and then this has to go into a hole thats been punched into the receiver hitch itself. This hole combination is really specific to Draw-Tite hitches only, so this would really only work on Draw-Tite hitches of recent manufacture in the last couple years. Once you have your pin installed, put the nut back on and the kit does provide a wrench for it so we can give it a good snug. What happens is it keeps it from rattling around anymore. Pop the lock into place, push the button and youre good to go. There you have it, thats for part # 63201, the J-Pin Stabilizing Lock from Tow Ready. more

This lock, 5201, is a lock for all 2 inch receiver hitches. This is a simple padlock style lock. What you do to operate it is pull the protective cover off, take the key and give it a little bit of a turn. Then it comes right apart just like that. Now well show it installed on a 2 inch receiver hitch. To install just slide your pin in, just take the padlock itself, and it snaps into place. Put your protective cover on and your set to go. That covers it for part # 5201, along side of this model is part # 5200 also from Titan that fits on all 1 1/4 inch receiver hitches. more

What this provides is a last bit of security you can add to your truck and trailer. We will install one on a ball mount and show you how it works. A good trick is to keep your lock washer in this little groove right here, it goes around your ball mount, your ball goes through the assembly, and then the trick is to thread the ball into the nut. When you do that, it brings the nut inside the guard here. It provides the ability for one to hold the nut while you tighten it down, and you cannot take the nut back off when it is on. Also what is nice about this is that on top you can see there is a nut built into the top of the ball. It uses a three quarter inch wrench so you can use that to tighten this ball down to your ball mount and you are set to go. You may ask, can someone just unscrew the top to steal the trailer? but you forget you will have a coupler on top of it with a lock so it does provide extra security. This is also available in part # 2820DAT for 2-5/16 inch couplers. There you have it for part # 2816DAT from MasterLock, the easy mount 2x1 inch hitch ball with lock. more

Today we are going to show you part number 51942 from Swagman. This is their hitch stabilizer. Basically this is an anti rattle device that works in conjunction with your ballmount and your hitch. And we will show you how it works. This collar here slides over the ballmount and then what happens is you slide the ballmount into the hitch. Then you slide this assembly next to the hitch and it just threads down and presses up against the hitch which pulls the draw bar to one side and it does not allow it to move after that. Again first off you just slide it on the receiver tube first, just about a little over an inch. Just make sure it leaves a enough room to fit the end of the hitch here and the collar also. Go ahead and install it as normal. Now some draw bars are going to be a lot closer then others. The good thing about that is you just slide the anti rattle device as far back as you can and then tighten it up. Run it up until you have it snug and then try to move it around before tightening it even more. Once you can not move it anymore you have it tight enough and it keeps it from rattling. There you have it for part number 51942 from Swagman, their hitch stabilizer. more
