Westin Tube Step Installation - 2009 Chevy Silverado

Today on this 2009 Chevy Silverado 3500HD extended cab, we will be installing Westin running board part number 26-1680. The first thing we want to do in preparation is to lay out all of our hardware and make sure all of the components are there. Go ahead and locate three body mounting bolts that are located underneath the cab of the vehicle. You can see we have got one here to the front, one in the middle, and one towards the rear. We need to go ahead and remove the body mounting bolts out of these body mounts. And you will notice that maybe the rubber spacer might be coming out here with the bolt and that is okay. We will reinstall that once we put the brackets up. :40 more

The first thing we are going to do is remove the bolts. Now that we have got our bolts removed I am going to show you on the brackets themselves that they are actually marked per side and which location they go in. This one says PF so it is going to be Passenger Front. Then the center bracket is going to be the longer one. In the center of it, it is going to say PC for Passenger Center. Then on the rear bracket which is the medium size one is going to be marked with the letters PR for Passenger Rear. For the driver side it is going to have Driver Front, Driver Center, and Driver Rear marked on them. 01:01 more

And that is going to provide our forward attaching point for our Nerf Bar. And you will notice that the bushing is coming out as well, with the bolt. And that is okay, but we are going to be putting this bushing back up into place when we get our brackets set up. If we go a little bit further back, just about even with the edge of the door, we have a second body mounting bracket, again with the same bolt. Again, we are going to remove this one as well and get the new bracket and hardware in place as well. 0:52 more

We have a short bracket that goes on the front and then the long bracket that stays in the center and then a tall bracket that goes in the back.So well go ahead and loosen up the body bolts. You want to do this by hand first because some of the models have a thread locker on there and an air ratchet could break the nut inside the body. When we take the bolts out, you wanna prepare the stock bolts to the bolts that come with the kit. Some models have a thicker bolt. If thats the case, go ahead and use the factory bolts. more

Pilot Tube Step Installation - 2011 Toyota Tacoma

Today on this 2011 Toyota Tacoma we are going to install part number NB-411 from Pilot. First we will go ahead and show you were the step bars mount up to the vehicle. It is going to use this square hole right here and it is going to use this round hole right here. We laid out our parts that we are going to need. This bracket here with the angle offset is going to go towards the front of the vehicle. We are going to use this 1-3/4 inch bolt and this special handle bolt right here. The back bracket will be the A-shaped bracket. We will use another 1-3/4 inch bolt and a longer bolt. And also there is a flat washer. This goes to the inside of the frame. Starting with the bracket that goes towards the back of the truck, we will go ahead and loosely install it on the tube step. We want to make sure we have it nice and loose so we can move it as needed. Westin Tube Step Installation - 2011 Chevy Traverse - Video

Westin Tube Step Installation - 2011 Chevy Traverse

Today on this 2011 Chevy Traverse, we will be installing the Westin oval tube steps using part number 22-5020-1795. The first step involved is to go ahead and lay out all of the parts and locate their positions underneath the vehicle. We also put the hardware with them as well. First off, we are working on the passenger side. And the brackets match up to the body work. One is closest to the outside edge and one goes over towards closer to the frame. So we will start off with our hardware. When we install our hardware going to the frame here, you will notice two pieces that look very similar. However, this one has a shoulder on it. This one will actually be used towards the front of the vehicle. And that is simply going to slide inside. The hardware we are going to use in this section is going to be this 3/8 bolt and then this bridge nut. We are just going to thread those two together and we are going to put that inside the vehicle body work as well. And also, this one fastener will get a plastic disc. Push that onto the threads as well. 1:00 more

Westin Tube Step Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series HD regular cab we are going to be installing Westin nerf bar part number 23-1400. We are looking at the driver side of the vehicle and the first thing we want to do is locate the body mount, the front and rear. The front body mount is located just rear of the front tire. If you follow rearward just about even with the edge of the door just below it is our rear body mount and that is what we are going to be attaching our nerf bar set up to. With those located we are going to start with the front body mount and what we want to do is remove the existing bolt. You can see that it is likely that the rubber bushing is going to come down as well and that is fine. We want to take that and set it off to the side for the time being and remove the rear body mount bolt. 00:55 more

Review of the Bestop Power Boards - Video

Review of the Bestop Power Boards

Hi I am Britta with the Bestop marketing team. We just picked up this brand new Ford Raptor which is already fitted up with our new product, the Power Boards. That is what we are going to show you now. So what is a power board? A power board is an electronic running board. When you open the door the step comes down. When you close the door, the step goes up. It also works with the rear door. The Power Boards hide up underneath your truck when the doors close to give you that ground clearance you need. As soon as you open the door they come right down to a comfortable stepping height, allowing easy entry into your truck. :42 more

Westin Tube Step Installation - 2008 Dodge Ram

Today we are going to install E-Series Tube Steps from Westin, part number 23-2900, and we are going to install this on a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup crew cab. The body brackets will actually mount to the body bolts right here - one at the front of the cab here, and we are looking underneath the passengers side of the vehicle - and then the last one at the back of the vehicle, this one right here, it mounts up there. The bolts in the centers come out, and they get replaced by new bolts that come with the kit. Okay, we will start off with the rear passenger body bolt. Then we will take a bracket and our hardware and run a bolt right through and thread it into place. We are just going to snug them down for now, and we will tighten up everything as our last step. The front bracket actually gets a spacer on top, and the long bolt goes through just like before. more

Bestop Bed Step Review - Video

Bestop Bed Step Review

The next product we have got is what we call the Bed Step, and this is designed to solve the problem, How do I climb in the back of my truck? Currently, everybody is having to do this, or they are doing this, and they are pulling themselves up in there. It gets to be a problem. What we have here is the Bed Step: a spring-loaded step that mounts directly to the frame and the bumper and allows easy access. And now when I need to get into the back of my truck, I am up in there. And when I am done with it, simply kick it away. The big advantage to this Bed Step is the fact that it does come out at an angle, so it allows me access in and out of the truck with my tailgate up or my tailgate down. So now I can climb up into the back of the truck real quick and easy. And again, when I am done with it, why, I kick it and forget about it, go back to work and do what I have got to do. more
