Today we are going to show you part number TH7022 from Thule, the large Go Box, their multipurpose carrier. What we are going to do is show you how all the gear and sporting equipment can actually fit easily in the bag and be quite organized. This is how the bag comes in its stored position nice and flat so it does not take up too much room when you are not using it. And when you are ready to use it and fill it up, just undo the latches on the side do this part on both sides, just like that. Then just pull it open and you take these two bottom flaps here and you just push them straight to the bottom. And basically the bag is set and ready to go. And also, on the very bottom it has this nice, waterproof tarpaulin bottom, too, and these little grips, too, to help keep it from sliding around on the carpet. And it also has easy-to-use carrying handles on both sides, as well as little pockets for small stuff, too. Today we are going to show you part number TH7004 from Thule. This is their Go Pack. A couple of details about this bag: first off, it has a nice, waterproof bottom to it. So, if you set it somewhere damp, obviously it is is not going to work its way inside of it. And it has a nice, easy to carry strap. And also, it comes packed with an optional shoulder strap, too, which actually is kept in this side bag, right here, that you can also be used for additional storage, also. Also, a nice little pocket for ID. And notice on the sides there are handles to carry it like this, also. We will go ahead and load it up with some sports equipment here. Today we are going to show you part number 59100 from Rola. This is the Rola Platypus Expandable Rooftop Bag. I will cover a couple of features of this cargo bag, which is really nice. First off, it is expandable from 10 cubic feet to 15 cubic feet by simply unzipping the zipper on the very bottom of the bag. The construction of this bag is heavy-duty, premium-quality, weatherproof construction, and it comes built in with eight tie-down straps. So you have got four straps on each side, basically two in the front, two in the rear, and two on each side. It also has a built-in aerodynamic shape, as you can see here. Today we have part number TH630 from Thule. This is the Thule Ranger 90 Rooftop Cargo Carrier. And this is a really nice, unique cargo carrier. And the difference is it is kind of a cross between a soft cargo carrier and a rigid one. And we will show you the differences between the two. As a conventional soft-cover bag, basically the bag will sit here in between the rails here and sit on the roof. Probably not too much damage will happen, but over a long period you could have rock or dirt or dust that get in there and kind of rubbing your paint job. Where this has a rigid base on the bottom so it stays off your car and on your load bars, which is really nice. The sides are rigid also, but the rest of it is going to be just like a conventional soft carrier that you are used to using. This cargo bag mounts to virtually any type of roof rack like the Thule we have here or a factory roof rack. It has a simple U-bolt system. However, unlike most U-bolt systems where you have kind of like a plate on top and two thumb wheels or nuts that you have to screw down it is kind of like a pain and is kind of time consuming this has a totally different system of how it attaches to the cargo carrier. more

Today we are going to show you part number e09151 from Erikson. What we have here is our Camlock logistics strap. The dimensions of this Camlock strap is 2 inches wide by 10 foot long and it is rated for 2000 pounds. We will go ahead and show you a typical application for it. We will go ahead and just show you how it works. It is pretty simple. You just pull this little tab back, pop it into place and it is secure. And then, the opposite side of the strap works the same way. Latch it into place and then the strap goes through this Camlock right here. Then you can go ahead and strap an article to it and see what you get. And there you are, it is ready for transport down the road. The purpose of this bag is it protects your ball mounts when your not using them so when you put them up they are not rolling around in the back of the truck. Also with the bag if the ball mount is dirty, since it is in the bag it will keep everything else free from its dirt and grime. You can see its a nice size bag with heavy duty stitching there and a nylon zipper which opens up like so. It has a nice expansive opening that you can put your materials in, also you can tell there is a separate lining from the outside. Well now show you its typical intention, just go ahead and put your ball mount in. Then just toss it in the back until you need it again, its protected and it wont get anything else dirty either. Today we are going to show you part number EMO-7420 from Erickson. What we have here is the 6 foot straight loading ramp constructed out of galvanized steel and there is a pair that comes with this part number. The rating for them is 1,600 pounds. We will go ahead and cover some of the fine points of these ramps. Basically we will show you what pieces you need to put together and the components that come with it. Alright first off the ramps themselves are 12 inches wide by 72 inches long. There is some assembly required. It will have these 2 main beams and you do have to install all these rungs in the ramp. Also these 2 parts that resides lay on top of the tailgate when you use it. There is also this latch on strap here on the side of the ramp. This hook actually will go into a hole on the backside of the ramp underneath. That way you can stack them 2 by 2 beside each other. It also comes with this strap right here to attach to your truck and the other half goes to the ramp so you can tie it onto your truck so it will not go anywhere when you are loading up your motorcycle or whatnot. more

Today we are going to show you part number A50710 the Easy Retriever. What we have here is a tool that can easily reach in the back of your pick up truck or any other area that is inaccessible or is just out of arms reach. Kind of handy little tool to keep in the back of your truck. We will go ahead and show you how it works. It has a real easy telescopic design. Basically you just give it a little bit of the twist and it is ready to go to work. To show an example on how to use it, you can just reach in the back of your truck here especially if you have a cover that is hard to take on or off. Just use it and you just grab it and pull your objects out, within easy reach. Also it would be handy for people that have limited mobility as well. That would probably be the biggest help. This unit is 25 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 7 inches tall. What this organizer has is a spring loaded self opening system when you unlatch it, it is pretty neat. It has a non slick base so it will stay securely on your carpet inside your vehicle. It does also include the two removable dividers you can move back and forth inside the unit. It is actually very versatile, it has a couple of side handles in case you have it opened up and want to carry things with it. Also it has two hooks on each side of it if you want to tie it down to your existing tie down brackets in the back of your SUV. This is also a good fit for the back of an extended cab pickup trucks that would fit between the back wall and front seat. We will go ahead and open it up and show you how it works. To open it up it is pretty easy, undo both buckles on each side and with very little effort it came up on its own. more

This is a cargo control bar, this part is intended to go between the two walls of your pickup truck bed to keep things from moving front to rear. This is a one size fits all and we will demonstrate how this works. As you can see there are buttons on the cargo bar to keep it at a specified distance. Basically they just pinch down and you pull apart or push together as needed. You can see it pops into the next hole and you do that all the way down to the width that you desire. Once you have the width you need, just install it between the bed rails. Basically you can stick it anywhere you have a flat solid surface. We are going against the bed liner but in this case the steel is right behind the bed liner so it will not be a big deal, we will just sandwich it. For the last bit of it we twist it to be as tight as we need it. Not only does the expanding length keep it in place, it also has very generous rubber feet to keep it from going anywhere. Whether it is a plastic bed liner or steel of the truck. This design can be expanded anywhere you can put it in the middle of the truck, down low up high, it just depends on what item you have in the truck and where you need the strength to hold it back at. This is a really neat little device that installs in the stake bed pocket of your pickup truck and when you are not using it stays completely flat. So actually this will work pretty well with some of the tonneau covers out there. This also works well with bed rail caps which you will see when we do an install on a vehicle with some plastic bed rail caps on the vehicle. We will go ahead and install this into the pocket on the bed rail here. You set it the way you want it and you simply tighten down the screws. There you have it, it is completely installed. Now with the flip of a switch it will be ready to tie down what you have in the back of your truck. To retract it, just simply push it back down into place. This is a nice device that clamps onto any position along the bed of your truck to allow you to tie down virtually at any point on your truck. These clamp onto the actual inside lip of the truck bed and you can use this inside camper shells and a lot of tonneau covers too. We will go ahead and install one here and show you how it works. We will stick it inside our bed rail here, you want the clamp open, put it up in there, and make sure it goes up as far as possible. We will get this out of our way, and then there is a bolt at the bottom here which we will tighten up by hand and we will use a ratchet to tighten it up the rest of the way. This device fits into the stake pockets of your truck bed, youve probably seen this before, its a common design. They have added one nice feature to this product, the toggle bolt at the bottom is a much heavier duty model than the previous ones. It requires no tools to install and well show that by installing one. Well squeeze it together to get through the top there, this rubber block here will help center it in the truck. Then you just push it into place and make sure you have it nice and level, and tighten down your top half. You dont have to over torque it, just get it nice and snug maybe a turn after that. Now youre set, and youre ready to tie down your cargo. This part comes in a chrome finish to resist rust and corrosion. This is a 2 inch by 8 foot long, 10,000 pound rated deluxe car tie down with a built in axle strap. We will go over and cover some of the finer points of this device and show you how it works. Starting with the ratchet, it is a little bit better better than most conventional ratchets you see because it has a bit longer handle for extra leverage. This unit does have an oversized hook, compared to lighter duty models. The same also applies for the tie-down axle strap here. Some models actually have this coming straight out in the hook, which makes for a twist in the webbing here. With this model here the actual hook is twisted and does one continual loop basically with no twisting. This axle strap is adjustable in the length here with this buckle. So you can make it as large or small as you need to. Well now demonstrate how this works more

This is a ratchet strap with dimensions of 2 inches by 8 feet long and is rated for 5,000 pounds. This is intended for a car tie down with a built in axle strap. We will go ahead and show you how it works and how it actually attaches to your vehicle. We will begin with the actual axle strap itself. It has an extra sleeve on here for cushions, so in case you have a show car and you have a detailed under body, this will not scratch up your paint finish. And what it simply does, it just wraps around the axle or cross member and snaps over itself like so. The rest of the strap we have coiled up here, again you have 8 foot length. And the rest of that length will actually go to your ratchet here. To use this, your ratchet end will get tied down to the trailer and your strap will go through the slot here and that just pulls on through. Leave excess alone like that, then take your handle here, pull this lever back, and you ratchet it tight. more

This is a 1-1/2 inch x 15 ft. long, 4,000 pound ratchet strap assembly with the twisted snap hooks. This device is intended for anybody carrying a heavy cargo load on their trailer or flat bed pickup truck. Again this is good for 4,000 pounds, so you could use this for a heavy tool box, lumber or what not. This is approaching industrial duty materials. Again if you are not approaching that kind of weight, the 15 ft. length will help out in just about any tie down situation, even for a weekend warrior. What we have here is a nice heavy duty ratchet assembly. As you can see you pull this button back and it releases forward. To ratchet it down you simply push down. As you can see here this center portion of the axle, the strap will go here. To operate it you pull the strap through, take up your slack and then you ratchet everything tight. We will go ahead and demonstrate its use on a typical application. more

This is a set of four 1x6, 2000 pound ratchet straps. As you can see here we have one on display and we will show you a typical application of it. As you can see, the strap comes in two pieces. We will show you how it goes together and then how it works. First off what you need to do is release the ratchet, thread the straps through and then get ready to tie down what you are going to tie down. To do that you pull back on this trigger here, it comes apart like that. You take your strap and run it through this axle here. Come through a little bit and then back down through the bottom. Then take out your slack. What happens is, when you tighten it down, it coils up. Now we will show you how this works by strapping a box down. To start out with, you want to let your ratchet lay over the top, hook up the backside of it. What you do not want is to have any twists like this. more

This is a 1 x 10, 900 pound rated retractable ratchet strap from Erikson Manufacturing. This is a really nice device. Its main claim to fame is that with conventional ratchet straps you have a length of strap left over when you are done tying it down. Most of the time you take the excess and shove it down or tie it up somewhere and chances are you will end up with a bigger mess than what you started with. This product alleviates all that with its self storage system. As you can see it comes with two conventional hooks, the ratchet itself and the wind up mechanism. We are going to show you, by tying this box down, a typical application. Basically you take your one hook and attach it to your tying point. Then take the rest of your strap and pull it to the other side. Make sure that neither of these are twisted as it puts additional stress on the straps that you do not need. At this point you take your lever here, push it back and it ratchets it down tight. At that point your load is secured and will not go anywhere. These are their 6 feet long by 1 inch wide spring clamp tie down with strap traps. The Master Lock strap tie downs offer a convenient upgrade to standard tie downs. It actually has a bungee cord and toggle feature that clenches around excess straps and keeps it in place so it is not flying around while you are going down the road. All the tie down straps include the monster weave webbing and razor coat abrasion resistant protection, this adds to the durability and its strength. The medium duty spring clamps and ratchet tie downs both feature the S hooks with retaining clips to give piece of mind while you are going down the road. The capacities of these tie downs are 1,200 pounds breaking strength, but its actual safe load limit is 400 pounds. Next we will install them on an anchor point and show how the clamp comes into use. Basically how were going to demonstrate this is we will start at one point on the pickup and go to the other side to tie off. You see that snap hook right there keeps it from coming apart. Now we will go over to the other side and tie it down and show you how the storage for the other strap works. Once you tie it down, take your excess and bundle it up, put it through this loop right here, and cinch it down. This will not be flapping around in the breeze. Love the convenience of bungee cords but need something a bit stronger? We have the answer! Well, actually Master Lock has the answer in their EZGrip Bungee Cords. I am sure most of you know how to use a bungee cord, but we have a video using the EZGrip bungee to illustrate Master Locks superior design. As Joe points out in the video, you can never have too many of these around. They are great for cargo carriers, bike racks, roof top cargo, anything and everything you need to haul. more

You NEVER need to deal with flapping straps making annoying noise and damaging your vehicle paint AGAIN! This product from Master Lock actually has what they call a Strap Trap which holds the excess strap and keeps it from flying around while traveling. We were amazed on how well these were designed and how easy they are to use. We wanted to share our wonder with you and video taped Joe using the straps. These are a great alternative to traditional bungee cords and can neatly be stored in the vehicle or garage, you can never know when a strap like this will come in handy. more
