Wiring harness installation on a 2007 Chevy Aveo
To access the wiring, we need to take off two panels. This inside panel her on the trunk and this panel here on the side, this will access our wiring in the corner her. We'll access the wiring at two points, on the left hand circuit and this wire bundle will go to the right hand circuit. We'll tap into here and here for clarity.
First we'll look for our running light circuit. We'll attach our brown wire to that. Next we'll find our left turn signal. We'll attach our yellow left wire to that. Next is the right turn signal, we'll run our green wire to that. Now is the stop light circuit, hold down on the brake pedal to do that. We hook up our red wire to that. All that remains is grounding our ground wire to the body. We make sure first that we're not drilling to an outside body part.
Now we test our plug to make sure everything is working. Once again we test the running, turn signal and brake lights. Our test works out okay and we just put our components back together. Once you have everything back together, what's nice about keeping the plug in the trunk is it doesn't get corroded or wet. If you need it you open the trunk, pull it out, and be sure it's not on the trunk latch. Close the trunk and you're good to go.
