Demonstration of the Valley Locking Hitch Pin with Anti-Rattle
This lock pin assembly and anti-rattle device is designed for only 2 inch receiver hitches and ball mounts that are hollow, this will not work with a solid ball mount shank. Here's our hollow ball mount, what we need to do is take apart our lock just the way it comes shipped to you. Take your key, turn it, it pops right apart. Take your spring and block apart, it just unthreads and that comes apart like so. This tube also has to come out, we don't need that for now. When your done all you should have is this block and this spring. What happens is this block spring gets inserted on the inside of this ball mount here. So what happens when you thread the bolt through it pulls it to one side so it can't go anywhere. So let's pop it in there, that's all the preparation it takes for the ball mount. Now we'll install the ball mount on our 2 inch receiver hitch and show you how it locks up.
Once you have it in place go ahead and run your bolt through with the threaded side matching the threads on the nut. It then simply spins together. This tube if you remember get slid in on the other side, it takes up the room on the pin. It simply pushes in like so. Then you put the lock on. There you have it for V76820 the locking hitch pin with silent anti-rattle, good for only 2 inch receiver hitches.
