Review of the Valley Journey Electric Brake Controller for 2 to 4 Trailer Brakes

Today we are going to show you part number V52650 from Valley. This is the Valley Journey Electric brake controller. This is good for 1 to 2 axles. We will cover a few features of this brake controller for one it is a nice and small device. It can fit anywhere in a compact vehicle. It has a simple to use LED indicator light. There is also a little thumb wheel on the side to adjust the power as needed. It also comes with a slide adjustment for the ramp time. Basically it is how slow or how soon the brakes come on. It also has a little built in diagnostic system that constantly check for shorts in the blue wire system. This brake controller is solid state. Which means it does not have any moving parts and you can mount it virtually anywhere in the truck. Just as long as it is comfortable for you and easy to reach.

Go ahead and cover some of the functions and controls of this brake controller. Start off with the LED right here. This LED will show you by intensity how much power is going out to the electric brakes. At full power we will hit our electric brakes and the LED will go from dim to full intensity. To control how soon or late the brakes come on is this side switch right here. There is a 2 position switch for slower and faster. Then on the other side you have this easy to use thumb wheel right here. That controls again how much power you need to use for your electric brake. We also have the manual override right here which is standard equipment. You move this over and it applies the electric brakes themselves on the trailer. It also activates the tail lights on the trailer as well. Again it is a solid state so you can mount it sideways or upside down and it does not matter what so ever.

What you get in the box obviously is the brake controller itself. You also get a mounting bracket that mounts onto the brake controller. You also get a package of screws that you will use to attach the brake controller to the bracket to the dashboard of your vehicle. That is it for part number V52650 from Valley. This is the Valley Journey Electric brake controller for 1-2 electric brake axles.
