Review of the Tekonsha Powertrac Time Delayed Electric Brake Controller

Today we are going to show you part number 39523 from Tekonsha. This is their Power Track electric brake controller. This brake controller is good up to 2 brake axles. We will cover a few quick notes on this like when you hook up the trailer it does have a power on LED. Letting you know you have a positive connect between the truck and the trailer. It also has that green indicator that lets you know it is connected. The indicator also turn from green to orange to red as the power to the trailer brakes increases. It has the easy to use thumb wheel adjusting on the side and it is also solid state so you can mount this unit any direction you want.

Now we will go ahead and demonstrate it to show you just how it works. Right off the bat you can see by the design of the brake controller that it was designed to be sitting at a 45 degree angle along the bottom edge of your dashboard. So if you have a tight area to put a brake controller but not a lot of room. This would be a great choice that would in fact fit. This green light indicator turns on it shows you have a positive connection. When you hit the brakes it will turn orange then red. On the side here is a thumb wheel to control the entire output. All the way up is full brakes then you wheel it all the way down for no brakes. Next you have the manual override. So if you ever want to put the brakes on themselves you push it over like so engage the brakes.

We will show you whats in the box next. Obviously you get the Tekonsha brake controller itself but you also get a bracket to mount it to the dashboard. It also comes with a package of screws to mount the bracket to the brake controller and to the dashboard. One other nice note about this brake controller is that it comes with a 5 year limited warranty. There you have it for part number 39523 from Tekonsha Power Track electric brake controller. Good for 1 to 2 axles.

Satisfaction Guarantee
eTtrailer had the hitch I wanted at a very competitive price. Even with shipping the cost was $30 to $40 less than buying locally. They keep you informed of your order status at all times. I received my order in 5 days, which included a weekend. The only regret I have is that I didn't order it a couple of days earlier. That way I could have installed it when the temperature was 50 degress instead of 20. (My shop heater decided to quit working). If they have what I need at the right price they will continue to get my business.
