Demonstration of the Reese 1/2 Inch Push Button trailer hitch receiver lock
This is the 1/2 inch, dog bone receiver lock from Reese. We'll cover the operation of this lock, it's a pretty simple device, we'll show you how this gets installed on the receiver hitch. Take the cover off, unlock it and it will come apart. Now depending on the wear and tear of the receiver hitch, you'll notice there's a little rubber O-ring here on the lock. It helps kind of seal the lock here. Some receivers will be a bit looser than others on the pinhole here. This one you can tell is really tight and the lock really doesn't want to go in. What you can do is just roll it off, slide it back in there and roll your seal back on. Take your key out slap it on place and there you have it. It can't come apart and everything is sealed up. That's part # 74396, the 1/2 dog bone receiver lock from Reese.
